Chapter Text
Seo Dawon is a man who always thinks logically. He always considers all the cons and pros of a plan and how to execute it so that the results are always one that benefits him.
As long as his guild was still standing, he was the one who made plans, made scripts so that everything ran smoothly and looked after his entire team.
But Dawon is also a human being.
He can also make mistakes. A mistake so fatal that it killed him and his entire guild member.
A mistake that could have been avoided if only he had seen the signs . No, that's not quite right. Seo Dawon had seen these signs but he chose to ignore them because he thought he could handle them.
And now look at him. Making the same mistake and ignoring what is obvious. To think that Choi Yikyung was just like the people in his past who only idolized his outer shell and never, never wanted to know who he is.
But Yikyung is not like that. He never hesitated to express his displeasure at Dawon's attitude or that of the Red Lotus members. Even when he didn't say anything but his eyes very clearly reflected his feelings.
Really . Dawon thought -and still does- that Yikyung was really cute because he couldn't lie at all. Making him very endearing, adorable, and easy to manipulate.
And now, now Dawon no longer wants a way to revive himself, but he needs to. He needed to come back to life, he needed to feel his heartbeat again, he needed to feel the warmth of his body again, the warmth of other people's bodies, the warmth of Yikyung's body.
Because, damn it, Yikyung was no longer a tool for his schemes. He became far, far , far more important than their revenge. Dawon must consistently convince himself to continue to complete their revenge if he wants to be released from this contract, from the curse that limits his and Yikyung's relationship to only Master and Servant .
But all of this is very difficult, and Yikyung doesn't make it easy.
Every time Yikyung weakened after he made a contract with the other members, every time he was exposed to the danger from their murderer, and even the danger of the side effects of this revenge contract.
Every. Fucking. Time. Dawon must restrained himself from chains Yikyung and put him in a cage.
(Dawon always has to hold back because Yikyung looks so frail and weak and bloodbloodbloodneedstosqueezehisbodyandseethatmouthwateringbloodcomeout-)
Because being a servant, even though he could hear and feel Yikyung's presence better than an ordinary human (and Dawon depended on Yikyung's heartbeat which was more honest than his mouth-) but as a servant, he couldn't close the distance between them, he couldn't claim Yikyung completely. He couldn't live and breathe in the same world as his Yikyung.
That was what frustrated him the most when that Geok something, Yikyung's ex, started contacting Yikyung again and made him realize that being a servant, gave Dawon more disadvantages and constraints than he thought. Making him unable to have Yikyung completely and undoubted his.
"So hurry up and finish your homunculus project Choi Kyungsik."
"..Leader-nim, have you gone crazy after you died?"
"You really want to see me crazy?"
Choi Kyungsik didn't answer, but his eyes glanced briefly at Choi Yikyung who was sitting hugging Lackey on the sofa and suppress the goosebumps running down his shoulders.
"..I will work harder."
Choi Kyungsik refrained from chopping off Woo Ragi's head who was laughing loudly behind him.
