   Summary

   Inspired by George Langelann's "The Fly" (1957), the original short story about a French scientist in which Dr. C's character parodies; I present an alternate version of his backstory, told from the perspective of his wife.
   This story describes the emotional trauma Eleanor goes through as she struggles to accept her husband, Jaques-Yves after he accidentally turns himself into a hideous bug. Is it possible for her to see past his mere appearance? And how will the couple fare after the government discovers what he's done?
