Summary
“I’m sorry for being such a fuck-up today,” Namjoon finally said. “I didn’t act like the boyfriend you deserve.” Regret was eating at his insides. “I should have known better.”
“You had a bad day,” Seokjin reminded him gently, scooting closer and pressing a kiss to his cheek. “We all have those.”
“But I should have done more,” he whispered, resting his head against the other’s. “I should have taken care of you.”
Seokjin chuckled and put some distance between them. “I’m sorry to break it to you but I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself. Just because I allow you to take over from time to time doesn’t mean I can’t deal with life on my own.” Maybe a few months ago, he wouldn’t have believed himself when saying those things, but a lot had changed ever since they met. “I don’t need you, I want you.”
“I know but -”
“I don’t want to hear it. You had a shit day that I possibly made even more complicated with my confessions. So now we’re going to have another glass of this delicious cocktail, watch one of the documentaries on your to-watch list and call it a night.”
