The first time Joanna accepts Alex’s invite to NYC Pride she’s a little nervous. She trusts Alex, of course, she’s just a little unsure of what to do or how to be. Everything fades as she follows Alex through the crowd, relaxing into the joy of Pride, letting herself relax for once and not questioning it.
Then she sees it, the perfect ring. She’s been thinking about it for months, since Alex came back to her, and she knows what she needs to do, pulling Alex over to the shop and smiling when Alex’s breath catches, paying for the ring moments before finally, finally proposing.
