Sarah doesn’t really know what leads her here, to the ocean. She’s used to working of course, working with the Navy, working with NCIS, but she’s never really understood the pull of the ocean, the pull of the sea.
Then she sees her. Abi Borin. CGIS through and through, a woman destined to share her life on land and sea. Abi swims easily, dives easily into the waves and seems almost to become a mermaid, contented most when she can swim.
Sarah is not so sure, still, when Abi beckons her in, she risks it, strips down to simple swimwear she had worn under a wrap dress and follows Abi into the water, smiling when Abi pulls her closer. She doesn’t have to trust the sea to trust Abi.
