Kaoru stepped back and nearly knocked over a wooden table. Thankfully, the pieces and parts on top of it didn’t fall off. He straightened it, anyway. He didn’t want to offend the man whose help he so desperately needed.
“Welcome.” The man stepped out from behind a curtain and looked him up and down, wincing slightly as he took in his left arm. But instead of insulting him like the other android had, this man – a human, which came as a bit of a relief – just smiled. “Let’s take a closer look at that, huh?”
