Chapter Text
Leaning his back against the wall behind a building where he had finished the 'work', kohaku practically was now emotionally numb but that soon turns into a small smile as he takes out a pendant from his pocket. Inside the pendant was a picture of him and Tsukasa when they were younger, Tsukasa was standing straight up with a polite smile white kohaku copies his pose and his eyes diverging itself to see tsukasa. It was a great memory and he cherish it within his heart that is full of guilts and despair.
He sighs and puts the pendant back into his pocket. Pulling up his hood, he quietly goes to the sidewalk and walks to a place where no one can bother him. It was already late at night as no one can be seen in this particular hour. But atlas, Kohaku seems to arrive at the place he had been walking too. Kohaku looks around before making sure no one sees him. It's a mystery why he would be in a cemetery this late at night.
Kohaku enters the cemetery and goes to grave with is noticable by bouquet of flowers and a vase that stands with a small rose than shines in this particular night. There the stone reads 'Suou's Family' Kohaku sits down in front of the grave and opens his hood, looking at the tombstone while having a small smile on his face.
'nii-han... it's been a while since I got to talk to ya.. I'm doing fine with work since..' kohaku stops talking for a moment. It has been a while after all since he got to visit his cousin and he doesn't know what to talk about him. So, Kohaku instead sits more comfortably with his hands behind his back and looks up at the sky. The moon shining beautifully as the stars supports and let it shine as if the stars are the shadow of the moon while the moon itself shines and take the eyes of admiration of humans and animals.
It's the same with Kohaku and Tsukasa after all. Tsukasa was the acting heir to the Suou Family and Kohaku's duty was to support him, his decisions was absolute as Tsukasa is precisely a leader type to others. Being the knights leader-no, being the knights king and their light. Everyone in knights back then, Leo Tsukinaga, Izumi Sena, Arashi Narukami and Ritsu Sakuma were guide back to the light. Protecting the throne back then as a knight and was given the crown by Leo Tsukinaga. Truly, the knights were there by Tsukasa side to protect him and support him as their king. Their duties and his role as a oukawa wasn't any different.
So then, why is he in the heaven's above? Aren't they supposed to protect him? Isn't he supposed to protect him? But why couldn't he? What was the actual reason?
"I don't know why it happened Nii-han, If only you happened to not be there back then..maybe you would still be our light.." Kohaku looks up and reach his hand to the moon. He had to came to acceptance long ago. That a year ago..
He killed Tsukasa Suou.
It was an accident. Tsukasa wasn't supposed to be there at the time. But instead, he interfere by going in front and tried to confront Kohaku but. It was already too late and kohaku had fire the gun. The bullet hitting Tsukasa's head.
.
.
.
Kohaku drop to his knees, shock and hurt as the gun in his hand was release from his grip and onto the ground. In front of him was Tsukasa's lifeless body with a gunshot wound to the head. The rain silently pouring down, being the only sound that can be heard in this night. Staring at the heir's lifeless body until he came to acceptance, that acceptance being that now. The only heir to the Suou Family, His cousin, Tsukasa Suou is now dead. He looks at the sky, raindrops landing on his face as Tsukasa's pool of blood slowly covering the ground.
He looks down to the ground as more blood pours from the body. Kohaku crawls over and closes Tsukasa eyes with his fingers that are still tainted with Tsukasa's own blood. Finally letting him rest, Kohaku screams loudly while tears that reads guilt finally leaving the eyes of a murderer.
Kohaku carries Tsukasa's body in the middle of night. After cleaning the evidence, he decided to keep the real reason of Tsukasa's death and plays a game. Honestly, why? He should just tell them. That he, Kohaku Oukawa killed Tsukasa Suou. His own cousin.
"Kohaku-san, it's better if we covered his death with a fake one. Bring him to the mansion." Was what Madara said to Kohaku as the rain pours down the alley they were in. He didn't question why and carried Tsukasa's body in his arms.
Now, arriving at the mansion with the servants are nowhere to be seen. It must be Madara-han doing, he thought in his head. He doesn't question how Madara did it. That seemingly carefree caring person who acts as a mother has tricks up his sleeves. Even when he tries to know, Madara always says that it's a secret how he does things his 'own ways'
Kohaku opens the sliding door that leads to the main room of the Suou's Mansion. He didn't know why he wanted to do this. He could have just confess to the head of the Suou family that his only son is dead because his servant was careless enough to kill him. That way, he could atone his sins by being punished for death. Kohaku shakes off those thoughts and continues on with his plan of a murder scene cover up.
Now in the main room, Kohaku places Tsukasa's body on the floor in the middle of the room. He puts Tsukasa's arms over his head but more open wide. But then Kohaku realize a small problem. If he wanted to make it believable that Tsukasa had truly took his own life here, there would be more blood on the floor. But since there is no trace of a bullet present. He thought of an idea that doesn't sound pretty.
He points his gun at the same place where Tsukasa was shot and shoots him again. The sound of a gun going off was the only thing heard at the mansion. Blood splatter all over the floor but it was important so no one can figure out his true cause of death.
"Sorry tsukasa nii-han, I have to do this" Kohaku apologize to Tsukasa. He probably heard it, what kohaku thought in his head as he cleans off his face and puts tsukasa fingerprints at the gun. After he puts tsukasa's fingerprints on the gun, he place the gun down on the floor to make it seems as if the gun had fallen out of his hand when he had shot himself. It was fortunate that Kohaku himself was wearing gloves from the beginning. Now, Kohaku stands up to look at the scene of crime he had altered.
Tsukasa looks as if he was sleeping peacefully on the floor. One would think he had just passed out. His red hair shines with the moonlight. The only thing that makes his ugly is the gunshot wound on his forehead and the blood that splatter around the floor.
What a beautiful but ugly sight. Kohaku thinks to himself. He walks to the front door. Before leaving, he looks back at Tsukasa and smiles with a hint of sadness.
"Goodbye Tsukasa nii-han.." Kohaku says and he leaves the mansion. The last step is for the body to be found. Inside the mansion, Tsukasa lifeless body shines beautifully within the moonlight from the window. On the table present in that room, a black rose that had blood splatter all over it, disguising itself as a red rose instead.
Madara gets the text message from Kohaku, it reads how he had finally covered up Tsukasa's murder. He looks up from his phone and finds the streets empty and dark, with the only source of light is from his phone. It's good that no one is here this late, he would have gotten caught because of the blood all over his clothes. But the rain had washed off most of it from his face and hands.
All is that left is to wait for someone to find Tsukasa's body. Although it would hurt to see Leo in such despair, it is what the decrease had wanted it to be. Madara thinks it's unfair on how someone so young like Tsukasa has no way of living such peaceful life. Just like his sister who's life was taken away from such a young age.
However, he believes that Tsukasa is being selfish of just letting himself get killed by his own family member. He suddenly left everyone and everything he loved behind just so he could end his own suffering ...but on that day, he suddenly called Madara to tell him about his sudden death.
"Just trust me Mikejima-senpai, this is for the best... I have no regrets till the end. Please don't try to warn him about it...and also please protect him for my sake." Was Tsukasa's last words to him before his call with him ended. Tsukasa sounded calm but afraid , afraid how death is already on knocking on his door and that door soon open for the young heir to meet his demise.
