Work Text:
Hobie didn't do labels, but if you were to sit him down and force him to define his sexuality, pansexual seemed to be the most fitting.
He wasn't against the idea of dating, sleeping, kissing, whatever with anyone based on gender, nah. If someone was hot, they were hot. He didn't make the rules, and gender never did influence his attraction.
This got him a reputation of sorts because all Spiders in his age range knew that they had a chance.
"How many girls have you kissed?" Gwen asked him one evening as she lied on his couch, trying not to think too much about her father. He chuckled from the kitchen.
"Why limit it to girls?" he asked. She smiled. Spiders, he was so cool. "Number's a lot higher if we open that qualifier up a bit"
"Noted" she replied with a small laugh.
"You want eggs for dinner?" he asked. "Or pasta or something? I got options"
"I'll eat anything"
"Yeah, well I'm asking you" he insisted. She stood up and looked at him. It was so weird to her that he was only a year older than she was but living completely on his own, though she supposed it wasn't that surprising considering the everything about him.
"Eggs are good"
"Great" he smiled. "Sit down at the table while I'm doin' this"
"What if I don't want to?"
"Then I respect your independent mindset and you can come help me instead"
