"Did you ever end up finding a boyfriend?"
"Eda!"
"What!?" the younger Clawthorne said defensively, but there was a mischievous smile on her face as she raised her hands up in surrender. "I'm curious, sue me" she said. "My sister's been in the dictator coven for decades and wouldn't talk to me. I'm trying to catch up"
"No, I never dated anyone"
"That's fair" Eda shrugged. "Most of the people in that coven seem like real pricks" she smiled. "But hey, now that you're out, maybe you could put yourself out there, and-"
"No" Lilith cut her off, shaking her head earnestly. Eda frowned.
"Why not?"
"I don't want to"
"Is it cause the men out here all kinda suck?" Eda chuckled. "There's plenty of lady fish in the sea. Plenty of nonbinary ones too"
"I said I don't want to" Lilith spat.
"Geez" Eda said quietly. "Touchy"
"Sorry"
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"I just..." Lilith sighed. "I don't know what's wrong with me" she admitted quietly. "I've never had that urge, you know? Like, to date or to kiss or... Do other things" she shuddered. "I've never wanted that with anyone. It's just not something that excites me... Is that weird?"
"No" Eda smiled, only this time it was more sincere. "That actually makes a lot of since. You never could keep a date in school"
"Hey!"
"I don't think you're weird, Lily" Eda told her earnestly. "And I don't think anything's wrong with you. I'll drop the subject, okay? But just know I love you"
"Yeah, yeah" Lilith smiled. "I love you too, Edalyn"
