Chapter Text
“Do you wanna hang out?”
“What?”
“Do you wanna hang out?” Dylan repeated, giving Ryan’s shoulder a soft punch to get the others attention.
Ryan gave Dylan a bitter stare as he rubbed his shoulder. “Uhm, when? Where? And what do you wanna do anyway?” He asked Dylan, they would hang out quite often but it would be planned beforehand, not when they were standing in the middle of their high school hallway. Dylan normally didn’t ask out of nowhere.
“Okay, you can’t back out after I told you the details.” Dylan whispered as he got closer, obviously not wanting others to hear what he was gonna say.
Ryan wasn’t sure if he wanted to hear it either.
“I’ll back out if it’s something crazy Dylan, i’m not gonna go and climb random cliffs with you.” Ryan deadpanned as a reply.
Dylan groaned and it seemed like he wanted to facepalm, but in the end he stopped himself from doing so.
“It’s not that bad, man. I promise just hear me out!” Dylan practically begged the latter. Hands folded together and all.
“Fine! Fine. Just don’t expect me to not back out.” Ryan answered, folding his arms together.
He really didn’t know what to expect.
“Okay so,” Dylan began, already moving with his hands everywhere. He always did that when he explained something, Ryan thought it was cute.
“I heard about some rich ass kid going on some vacation, with his family and all. Meaning…” Dylan dragged out, his face flaring up.
“Meaning they’re on a vacation?” Ryan stated the obvious.
“Yes Ryan, they’re on vacation. But i’ve seen their house, their backyard is huge! It even has a pool and it’s easy to sneak into.” Dylan said, mumbling the last words for obvious reasons.
Ryan stared at his friend in disbelief.
Sometimes, he really wondered how and why he was friends with Dylan.
“You, you want us to sneak in— in some random backyard?” Ryan whisper-yelled at Dylan, wondering where the hell he got this idea from.
“I told you not to freak out!” Dylan whisper-yelled back, almost wanting to put his hand over Ryan’s mouth.
“You’re out of your mind, Dylan. We could get caught by the police! I don’t want my grand-parents to be mad at me because I broke into some backyard!” Ryan replied while frowning, he wasn’t really mad. He just couldn’t comprehend how Dylan came up with the idea.
“I just, I just don’t want either of us to get into trouble, okay?” Ryan added, the small frustration that he had already sinking away. It’s not like he could really be mad at Dylan for long.
“I know, I know it sounds like i’m out of my mind, but! The house is almost in the middle of nowhere! No one will see us, man. If we get caught we can just, put all the blame on me.
I’ll somehow explain it to my mom.”
Ryan only sighed in response, not knowing what to do.
“Say, we do go to this ‘house in the middle of nowhere’. What do we do there?” He asked, Dylan hadn’t mentioned these details.
Dylan grew a smirk at this.
“Well, my mom does happen to still have some nice liquor, if you know what I mean,” his grin only growing wider as he spoke.
What else did Ryan even expect.
“So, not only do we have a chance of being arrested because of trespassing, but also because of underage drinking.” Ryan said, repeating Dylan’s words, hoping he would understand how crazy he sounded.
“That’s only if we get arrested, Ryan. We won’t! We will just, you know. Drink some stuff, play some games maybe and get out of there! No big deal at all, just fun!” Dylan defended.
The other had never been so eager to do something.
Ryan sighed once again, he couldn’t help but love the way Dylan seemed so excited to go to this place.
Ah well, fuck it.
“Fine, we will go. And if the cops do come, i’m not letting you take the blame by yourself.”
Ryan said, a smile tugging at his lips.
“I still do believe that this is a bad idea though!” He repeated his words from earlier, causing Dylan to give him another light punch.
What’s the worst that could happen, right?
