    It was good. Eating rats in the basement for the taste and supplementing with beer for the quantity was fine. Charlie would have been happy to do it for the rest of his life, however long that is now. He knew what it was that he wanted, what every ounce of his body was begging him to take, but he didn’t want it to be just anybody. He wasn’t going to make the first bitch on the street the person.

    He hasn’t figured out how to ask him, yet, though. And with Mac it would be better if he asks first.
