Work Text:
Bucks place. A place where kids like Ponyboy were told not to go. It would only make sense for the towns worse hood to stay there.
Johnny was there too. He wasn't sure how he ended up here, he was spending the day with Dallas since Pony had school and it was picture day (which he was not very fond of). It got dark and there was no way in hell Dallas would drop him off at his parents house, so he went with the older.
That's how they were here. In bed. Together.
Dallas wasn't going to let Johnny sleep on the floor, why would he? He may be mean, but he wasn't a monster. Johnny was laying on his back, while Dallas was laying on his side facing away from him.
Dallas had taken his shirt off and put some sweatpants on, and Johnny had kept his shirt on and borrowed one of Dallas pair of pants. Everything was okay. Here's the problem, while Johnny could fall asleep easily when he wanted to, He could hear Dallas chewing on his necklace. The blondes body temperature was also naturally cold, had always been. Johnny never paid it no mind. He ran hot, it didn't bother him.
But Dallas sounded like he was freezing. All because of Johnny. He had gotten hot and the other had simply told him to push the covers off. He couldn't help but feel some guilt.
Eventually, Dallas must've gotten tired of being cold in his own bed, when there was a perfectly good heater beside him. He snapped Johnny outta the sleepy gaze he was falling into. Dallas turned around and put his head on Johnny's chest, slowly matching his breathing up with the others.
Johnny, on the other hand, was freaking out. He was sure Dallas could hear how fast his heartbeat was going. He slowly wrapped his arms around his idol, rubbing his thumb against the freckled back. Dallas let out a content sigh, closing his eyes and tossing his leg over the smallers.
Johnny got over the internal shock, and began to relax. He let a soft smile come over his face while he closed his eyes as well, both boys falling asleep shortly after.
Yeah, everything was okay.
