Hearing his voice, they tried to sit up again, those strange limbs spreading out underneath like a crab until they were vaguely balanced.

Toshirou blinked. Did he know this fish…thing?
“Hijikata-kun!” They repeated, scrambling forward then overbalancing and flopping onto their face. “Help! Help me back!”
As more words came out of their mouth or wherever they were coming from, Toshirou realised why that scream had sounded familiar.
