Summary
Stede doesn’t get out much. He’s usually able to hide behind the excuse of working from home when someone pries about it. His therapist wishes he was more honest with himself about why he actually doesn’t leave his house too often, but it’s all a work in progress, really. And it really isn't anybody’s business that visiting the grocery store makes him want to vomit, or that it took him 45 minutes to work up the courage to walk a block down to the drugstore last week. He has his bubble, filled with his wonderful children and his wonderful husband and his best friend (who just so happens to be his ex-wife). He’s happy, he's content, he doesn’t need much else, thank you very much. But when he realizes that he’s pregnant again, for the first time in years, Stede decides that he has to be brave.
