Chapter 1: The Bond of Mother and Son

Chapter Text

Izuku has always liked heroes. Everyone thinks his favorite hero is All Might. Which is true, All Might is his favorite pro hero. But is his favorite personal hero will always be his mom.

His mother has always been there for him. She made sure he was clothed and fed, and most importantly she still cared about him even after they found out he was quirkless. She didn't except that he wanted to be a hero but she did except him for who he was. Quirkless or not she loved him the same.

Unlike his father who decided to leave them after he found out. It was a day full of tears for both him and his mom.
His mother with tears in her eyes, smiled at him, kissed his forehead and then hugged him close.

"I love you Izuku, and I'll always be here for you. You'll always be the same Izuku to me. That will never change."

He hugged his mother back and cried into her shirt. His mother was very strong. He hopes when he becomes a hero, he'll be just as strong as her.

Taking care of him and seeing him as a person wasn't the only thing she did for him. When he came home from school crying because he couldn't go outside and play with the other kids. The teacher saying that he was to fragile and could get hurt. His mother immediately went to the school and demanded that he got to go out and play just like all the other kids got to.

He didn't have the heart to tell her that even though they let him outside to play with the other kids. None of them wanted to play with him anyway. His mother fought for him and that was more then enough for him.

The point was, Izuku cared about his mother and would do anything to make sure she was happy. So when eleven year old Izuku came home from school to see his mother pacing back and forth in her room. He immediately asked her what was wrong.

"Hey Momma, what's wrong?"

His mother stopped pacing and looked over at him. She smiled at her son but their was nervousness in her eyes.

"Welcome home, Izuku."

Izuku was standing in her doorway with his backpack straps clenched in his hands looking at her worried. Inko frowned down at all the clothes laid out on her bed and then looked back at he son.

"I suppose I'm just worried."

Izuku walked into his mother's room to comfort her, he glanced at the clothes on the bed then looked back at his mother.

"About what, Momma?"

"I'll be going on a date this evening. It's been so long since I been on a date. I have no idea what to wear. That, and the dates with a woman. I've never been on a date with a woman before, but she was so pretty and I just couldn't say no when she asked."

Inko said everything so quickly that if it was anyone else she was specking to, they wouldn't be able to understand her. Izuku got his fast-paced mumbling from his mother, so he could understand everything she said.

"That's great Momma! That means you'll be happy again, right."

His mother looked at him confused, "What do you mean, dear?"

Izuku looked to the floor sadly, "You just looked very sad lately. I just want you to be happy Momma." Izuku looked back up at his mother and gave her a small smile.

"Will she make you happy Momma?"

Inko smiled with tears shining in her eyes as she walked other and pulled her son into a hug, Izuku immediately hugged her back.

"Oh Izuku, your so very kind."

Inko pulled back from Izuku but was still standing in front of him.

"I don't know if she'll make me happy yet. That's why we're going on this date, to see if we make each other happy. Do you understand Izuku?"

Izuku nodded, "Yes, I understand."

Inko nodded back to her son, "That's my smart boy." Inko then walked back to the bed and picked up a black strapless dress. "Now I don't want to leave you here by yourself, so Mitsuki is coming over to watch you."

"Okay Momma, I'm going to go do my homework while you get ready for you your date."

"Okay, Izuku."

As Izuku did his homework, he wondered how things would change. If his Mother's date went well, then his mother would probably go on more dates. The more dates his mother goes on with this person, then eventually he'll meet her. What if she doesn't like him? What if she hates him because he's quirkless? Izuku won't be able to take it if he's the reason his mother lost her happiness again.

Izuku shook his head. No. He shouldn't worry about this right now. He was thinking too far ahead again. His mother didn't even go on her date yet. They both had no idea how it would it turn out. He should let his mother be excited about her date and be happy for once.

"Izuku, Mitsuki's here!"

Snapping out of his thoughts from his mother's call. Izuku got up from his desk and went out to greet his Aunt Mitsuki.

"Hey Izu-chan, it's been awhile," Mitsuki pulled then Izuku into a bone crushing hug. After she let go of him she ruffled his hair ruffly. "How have you been?"

As Izuku tried to fix his hair, he gave Mitsuki a stained smile. "I have been doing fine." That was lie. He wasn't doing fine. The bulling hasn't gotten any better. Not that he would tell Mitsuki or his mother that. He softened his smile, "It's good to see you again auntie."

"Man your so polite. I wish my brat of son was at least half as polite as you."

She turned to his mother with a big grin. "How did you get so lucky to have such a polite son, Inko?"

His mother smiled and shrugged. "I don't know Mitsuki, Izuku's always been like that."

Izuku blushed at the phrase. He could never quite get used to it. Though it always made him feel warm and fuzzy inside.

"You look very beautiful Momma."

His mother was wearing the black dress she had in her hands earlier. Her hair was in braid rapped around her head like a crown, while the rest of it was down. She was wearing makeup and had black high heels on to match the dress. He never seen her so dressed up before.

"Yeah, Inko you'll definitely knock your date out with how gorgeous you are."

Auntie Mitsuki had the biggest teasing grin on her face right now. His mother blushed.

"Mitsuki!" His mother said warningly.

Mitsuki just started laughing. Izuku didn't really understand his mothers reaction to what Mitsuki said but he had a feeling that it was another inside joke between the two of them.

Inko shook head at Mitsuki then walked over to her son and gave him a warm smile. "I'll be back by midnight. I hope that you will at least be in bed by that time," his mother said sternly.

Izuku looked away from his mother sheepishly. He had a tendency to stay up late working on his analyst notebooks. He couldn't help it though. There was just too many heroes and too many ideas to write down.

"I'll try Mama."

His mother smiled and patted his cheek, "that's all can I ask of you."

Inko then walked over to the couch and picked up her purse. "Alright I should be going or I'll be late." Inko walked over to the door and open it.

Izuku gave a big smile, "Goodbye Mama, I hope you have a good time."

Mitsuki smiled and gave a lazy wave goodbye. "See yeah, Inko."

Inko turned around and smiled at them both, "Good bye Izuku, Mitsuki. See you when I get back. I love you, Izuku."

Izuku's eyes closed as his smile got bigger, "Love you too, Mama."

With that, the door closed to their small but homely apartment and both mother and son's lives changed forever. All because of one date.
