Summary
Patton was just getting groceries. The next thing he knew, there was a knife at his throat and he was an unwilling uber driver. Virgil’s on the run after the murder of his dad, and it’s not just his paranoia that’s telling him he’s being chased down. He has to get somewhere safe, somewhere he can trust, and all he has is a couple of stories from his dad and a name: “Green Bellow Foods and Dispensary.”
Meanwhile, everyone else is trying to find a missing 15 year old, all with different pieces of the puzzle about where he is. It really is too bad that no one is answering their phones.

Virgil is a mute writer. Logan is a science professor at a university. These two dorks have to deal with switching bodies with each other because they’re soulmates. Too bad they switch in the middle of a lecture. Virgil doesn’t know how to explain to Logan’s class that he’s not their teacher since he doesn’t know how to talk.

Soulmates...
He hated the term with every fiber of his being, He wanted nothing to do with these complete strangers. He didn’t want the universe to make a decision for him, chain him to people that he’ll probably not only hate but will only be disappointed when they meet him. He didn’t want anything to do with that shit.Then the universe decided to say "Fuck you Virgil" and throw 5 at him instead.
It only gets worse from there... or well, that's what he's telling himself...Aka soulmate au, but I can't be normal, so there's more to it than there seems.

Summary
Virgil’s got a simple code when he’s not on a hunt. Don’t hurt whatever you don’t absolutely have to, and odds are, it won’t hurt you. Now and then there’s a bit of an, um, incident where that doesn’t quite work out as well as they’d hoped, but by and large they get by.
Or: 5 times Virgil helps a monster he was supposed to kill, and 1 time the monsters help him.
