Work Text:
Tommy: Dandelions symbolize everything I want to be in life.
Deo: Fluffy and dead with a gust of wind?
Tommy: Unapologetic. Hard to kill. Feral, filled with sunlight, bright, beautiful in a way that the conventional and controlling hate but cannot ever fully destroy. Stubborn. Happy. Bastardous. Friends with bees. Highly disapproving of lawns. Full of wishes that will be carried far after I die.
Bit: Edible.
Wisp: I dare you-
Luke: Tommy is not allowed to accept dares anymore.
Wisp: Why not?
Tommy: "I have no regard for my own or others personal safety", as some would say.
Luke: Deo, what if there are monsters?
Deo: Don’t worry, we’re top of the food chain.
Much later…
Luke, lying awake at night: I am the monster.
Tommy, having recently lost their glasses: KILL THE BUG!!!
Bit: ....That’s a gecko—
Bit: *Picks up hammer and breaks ringing cell phone.*
Tommy: Oh, so when crows remember people who wronged them and hold grudges, its “intelligent” and “really cool”.
Tommy: But when I do it, I’m “petty” and “need to let it go”.
Deo: I'm trying to juggle family life and work life but I can't seem to find a balance. What do you suggest I do to keep everyone happy?
Tommy, deadpan: Quit your job, kill your family.
Wisp & Tommy:*Playing video games*
Luke: You guys woke up at 5:30 in the morning just to play games?
Wisp: *silence*
Tommy: *silence*
Luke, finally figuring it out: ...You two never went to sleep, did you?
Wisp & Tommy in shame: Yeah...
Bit: You think you're smarter than everyone else.
Wisp: I don't think I'm smarter than everyone else. I know I am.
Tommy: People always shoot down my ideas and I’m sick of it. Two sentences in and everyone’s always shouting “what the fuck? that’s illegal!” and “you can’t do that!”. Like, c'mon, let me talk!
Deo: I didn’t even realize how sarcastic I was being. It’s starting to become a problem, I think.
Wisp: My head hurts.
Deo: That’s your brain trying to comprehend its own stupidity.
Tommy: I'm bored.
Deo: Wanna commit first degree murder?
Tommy: Sure!
Luke, hearing them: No- Stop, don't do that! Put that knife down! Put Bit down!!
Wisp: There are some things beyond our understanding. We must accept them and learn from them. Because these moments of crisis are also potential moments of faith. A time, when we either come together or fall apart. Nature always has a way of balancing itself. The only question is, what part will we play?
Luke: Did you just make that up?
Wisp: No. I read it in a fortune cookie once.
Luke:
Wisp: A really long fortune cookie.
Tommy: Do we have any orange juice left?
Wisp: *pours the remaining juice into their cup*
Wisp: Sorry, we’re all out.
Bit: Everybody shut up, I'm thinking.
Wisp, patting them on the back: Well, don’t think too hard. I wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself.
Deo: How the hell are you still alive?
Tommy: Honestly, I’m just as confused as you are.
Bit: I'm usually that person who has no idea what's going on.
Bit: I'm gonna need a human skull but you can't ask why.
Wisp: Only if you also don't ask why.
Wisp: *pulls four pristine human skulls out of their bag*
Bit: ...
Bit, grabbing a skull: This one will do.
Luke: Guys… the principal just called—
Bit: It was Deo!
Deo: It was Tommy!
Tommy: It was Wisp!
Wisp: It was me!
