“Hunter, for the last time, I understand you may have fond -or not so fond- memories of wearing full cloaks, but they are impractical. Dangerous even if you may. Tripping over yourself because the back is too long and it’s hard to move the entire low part well enough for one to move? Getting set on fire?”
“At least they cover properly. What is a side cape even good for, other than the looks? They make a person get too warm on only one side when it’s warm and don’t even provide half as much warmth as they should when it’s cold.”
“If I wanted coverage or warmth I would just wear a sweater, and maybe the cape on top if the outfit required it!”
“A cape on top of a sweater? And I’m the one with the eccentric fashion taste?”
“I can pull off camp when I need to. But I do have to clarify, nobody in this household has what one would call an average fashion taste. You do camp, I do a certain level of glamour, and Eber… Well, Eber does whatever they do. I’ve heard Luz call it granola, whatever that is supposed to mean.”
“Yeah, she has some weird words for style. The other day she said my outfit was “gremlincore with a side of craftcore”. I don’t even know where to get gremlin cores, other than at the Night Market or Eda’s! Who would probably get it from the Night Market anyways.”
“Please do not bring gremlin cores to this house, the one time Eber received one as a gift from a firebee swarm they saved and tried to share it with me it left my entire table slimy for about a week after. And definitely do not go into the Night Market alone, I can always go with you. Or at least ask Eda to go with you, if there is someone I would entrust you with there it’s her. At least that way I would know you’re robbing, kidnapping, or breaking the law uncaught rather than being robbed, kidnapped or being caught breaking the law. Which no, that doesn’t mean I’m approving of any of those, but not disapproving either if the situation requires it either.”
“I would have objected to the whole breaking the law part. A member of the CATT’s, objecting to breaking the law?”
“For the record, I will never stop complaining to Raine about that name. Or the uniforms they made the BATT’s wear.”
