Bruce walks into the watchtower with Clark where he sees Diana and Barry sitting in front of the computer. They walk over to relieve them of monitor duty.
“You guys are good to leave!” Clark says in his overly cheery voice. How can he be excited to sit in front of a computer for 2 hours? The answer is simple to everyone but Bruce, he was just excited to be around his boyfriend. Not that he would ever admit it to anyone but the only reason Bruce can somewhat stand monitor duty is because of Clark.
Batman and Superman, two names that strike fear into anyone who gets in their way. Everyone knows who they are, kind of. They have been dating for years even before the league was founded, and are deeply in love. The only one who knows is Alfred. It's impossible to hide anything from the old man, Bruce tried. Bruce checks that Diana and Barry are gone before taking off his mask. They all know each other's identity but Bruce still isn't entirely comfortable with the idea of going around with it off yet.
“You should take the cowl off more often. I mean everyone already knows who you are anyway. Plus,” Clark chuckles and moves closer to Bruce, “I would get to see your pretty face more often.” He kisses Bruce who just scowls at him for being intimate in public. “Don’t worry nobody is around I checked,” He rolls his eyes.
“Hnm,” Is all Clark gets in response. Bruce leans his head on Clark’s shoulder, the warmth radiating off his skin. He closes his eyes slightly letting his guard down trusting the Kryptonian with every fiber of his being. From this, they drift into a comfortable silence.
Clark breaks the silence with a question “Bruce,” He opens his eyes in a mix of muddled blue and gray Go on. “don’t you think we should tell them? I mean keeping a secret from a team, that can’t be good. And I mean what if they find out on their own, they might never trust us again. And-” Bruce shuts him up with a kiss. Soft and chaste but demanding enough to let Clark know that he needs to shut up. Bruce’s lips taste like black coffee from days of little to no sleep and he smells of sweat and grime from defending Gotham’s streets.
“If you would let me talk you would know that I agree,” Bruce replies calmly which shocks Clark. “We should tell them.” Even when they weren't dating, Clark knew that Bruce wasn't one to say something without adding a plan. That’s not all, is it? Clark’s eyes questioned. The bat rolled his eyes and added “I just don’t know if I’m ready. What if they don’t accept us? What if they don't accept ME? Everyone loves you no matter what but I’m… different. They are scared of me, to talk to me even look at me. They don't think I’m capable of anything except violence-” This time it’s Clark who kissed Bruce. I love you and they do too.
They fell back into silence for the next hour until their monitor duty was done. They went to their respective chambers only for Clark to sneak into Bruce's room after he changed. He walked into Bruce's room shirtless with a pair of flannel pajama pants that lay loosely around his slim waist leaving little to the imagination. All Bruce can do is stare as Clark climbs into bed with him giving him a small peck on the top of his head. Clark snuggles up next to Bruce fitting his head in the crook of his neck. Bruce is on his tablet looking over crime reports from his previous battles. Clark takes the tablet and throws it onto a nearby chair. Bruce glares at Clark who just kisses his nose and wraps his arms around Bruce's waist. There were hundreds of ways for him to break out of this hold but he decided not to try and give in to the drowsy feeling that was catching up to him.
“Bruce,” Clark whispered looking at his significant other, “Can we tell them at the meeting tomorrow, please?” Silence, then a soft grunt. Yes now shut up. Clark smiles kisses Bruce once more and they drift off to sleep in each other's arms.
They wake up in the morning to the Flash and Green Lantern arguing about something outside of the bat’s room. “You do it!” “No, you!” They go back and forth like this until Arthur says “Shut up both of you. I’ll do it.” He mutters something under his breath. Suddenly, the doors opened letting in a cool draft making Bruce shiver and subconsciously shift closer to Clark soaking up as much heat as he could.
“There,” Aquaman grumbles as he walks out the door.
"Noooo,” Barry groans as Hal laughs.
“Hah! You owe me 50 bucks! I knew they were screwing each other!” Hal yells.
Bruce gives them his signature Bat Glare, “Get out.” He grumbles as the heroes run out of the room the door closing behind them. Clark tries to stifle his laugh with the comforter. Bruce looks at him and can’t help but smile at the look on his boyfriend's face. Maybe this won’t be so bad. Now they can cuddle and kiss anywhere in the watchtower and not worry about who will see. Bruce lays back down and faces Clark. “Love you,” He says.
Clark kisses him long and hard as he straddles Bruce. “Love you too. Now can we finally have sex up here?”
Bruce kisses him feeling every inch of his body. This kiss is long and passionate and only stopped because Bruce needed to breathe. “After breakfast,” He grins getting up, leaving Clark with a semi waiting for more.
