They walked across the carpark and when they reached the street, Rozanov turned to him as he stepped off the curb. “So, when did boring Canadian boy--”
But that was all that came out before a car skidded into him.
Shane stumbled back as the sound of air bursting from Rozanov's lungs hit him. He tumbled over the roof of the car and onto the snowy asphalt below. The car kept skidding onwards, crashing into a car in front and before Shane even knew what was happening, he was scrambling towards Rozanov’s body.
“Rozanov, Ilya-- can you hear me? Fuck! Are you okay?” He asked, frantic. There was so much blood, people were running towards them. He could hear phones being dialled, could feel the presence of others around them.
Ilya’s eyes were open, but it was as if he were looking past him, up towards the sky above. He coughed once and blood sputtered out, dribbling down his face "Mama." He said softly.

Since Shane was a young boy he has been able to rewind time. He had never done it for anything huge, just small things here and there.
Then Ilya Rozanov died in front of him.

Ilya feels his heart start to sprint. While he’s sure the sentiment is true, he feels the exact opposite. Ilya Rozanov may know nothing about Shane Hollander, but Shane Hollander knows a hell of a lot about Ilya Rozanov.
Even after all these years. Even after what Ilya did to him.
“I’d like to know those things,” Ilya eventually says softly, “if you’ll let me.”
The one where Shane and Ilya were billet brothers, haven't seen each other in ten years, and a lot has changed... but some things haven't.

Title inspired by the lyric in Season 2 Weight Loss by Harry Styles. Post inspired by a prompt I saw on Twitter from @mcgee_lives. "Tuna melt scene, but it's Shane that whispers Ilya's name, Ilya freaks out and makes Shane leave. Few months later, he's seen dating a model (if she looks like Shane, that's between Ilya and God). They date a little over a year, maybe. Ilya breaks up with her after he hears rumors of Shane dating a man."
May deviate a bit from the prompt. WIP and this is my first time ever writing/publishing a fic but the prompt was too fun not to try. Criticism is welcome as long as it won't make me cry!

Ilya Rozanov has everything he wants except the boy he loves. It would be fine, except Shane got big right after the two of them broke up, and now he sees his stupid ex on every fucking billboard in Boston. Fuck Shane and his perfect fucking life, honestly.
Or, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov dated for 2 years back when Shane lived in Boston to start his music career of all things and Ilya was a rookie for the Bears. Then they broke up, and Shane moved to LA, and now both of them are as happy as can be living their life 3,000 miles apart. At least, that’s what they want the other to think. Everything stays the same until Shane releases his new album loml, and Ilya is forced to reconsider.
