Gigil

Summary:

The trees rustled a little while later and Tommy bounded out. “Hey, big man! I'm not gonna say sorry for being late cause I'm a big man. But I'm here!” the other exclaimed as he sat a bit away from Purpled, on the other side of the food.

Purpled turned his attention to Tommy and a small smile crawled up his face, “it's fine Tommy, not missing out on much.” the alien had offhandedly said.

Notes:

Gigil- the feeling you get when you see something very cute that makes you want to pinch or squeeze it

Chapter 1: Red Velvet

Chapter Text

Purpled is sitting down on one of those classic red and white square picnic blankets. He was sitting near a cliffside facing the ocean and the setting sun. The sky was painted in beautiful pastels as it shifted into nightfall. He watched as the sun began to disappear and the moon started to take over the sky in its glory.

He has a tub of cake he had baked a few hours before. Along with a plate and some forks and napkins. It was red velvet with chocolate frosting. He had gotten the recipe from Niki when he had told her he was having a picnic. She happily handed over a recipe for him. He hadn't tried it yet but he was waiting for Tommy.

He should be finishing his therapy session with Puffy and making his way over just about now. They have been planning this for about a week now, they were gonna have a simple picnic and then go back to their respective homes.

Purpled let out a sigh as he looked over his shoulder at the woods where Tommy would burst through loudly soon enough. He shuffled around into a more comfortable position while returning his gaze to the sunset.

Tommy gave his beaming smile and began to ramble off about some cows he saw on his walk over. While he listened, occasionally humming or asking a small question, Purpled opened the container with the cake and pulled the slices out. Putting one on each plate and stabbing a fork into them he held one out to Tommy, putting an end to his ramble.

“Oh! Thanks, bossman,” Tommy voiced, grinning at Purpled.

“Anytime Tommy. How was therapy with Puffy?” purpled replied, sparing a glance at Tommy as he took the first bite of his cake. Tommy groaned after the question was spoken, it seems he wanted to leave that hook alone.

Tommy shoveled the cake into his mouth and started to speak, “Man it was shit! I had to talk about my fuckin feelings. Like who wants to talk about those?” the brit began to ramble again about his therapy appointment.

Purpled just winced at the demon hybrid talking with his mouth full but otherwise just nods along to Tommy's complaints.

It took about half an hour for Tommy to stop blabbering about therapy and set his plate aside. “It sounds like it's working though. Is it? Working I mean.” purpled asked.

“I mean, I guess. I haven't been... Lashing out? As she said, as much. I don't yell as much.” Tommy had summarised, scoffing at the end. His ears were a bit red, with a faint blush on his cheek. That made purpled smile, he was gonna tease the hell out of him.

“Oh? Are you, the great and all mighty Tommyinnit, actually getting somewhere in therapy?” Purpled questioned the grin on his face growing at seeing Tommy practically glow red. The other stumbled over his words for a minute.

“FUCK OFF PURPLED! YOU PIECE OF SHIT! SCREW OFF DAMNIT! LEAVE ME BE!” Tommy screamed as he curled his head into his knees, covering his ears with his hands. At this point purpled had fallen back in laughter, tears in the corners of his eyes, threatening to spill as he clapped his hands together.

Hearing the mercenaries laughs he had no choice but to start laughing. Which eventually led to him wheezing into the air.

Both teenagers took a while to calm down. By the time they had stopped laughing, the stars were out and the moon had climbed higher into the sky.

With a shaky sigh Purpled turned to Tommy, “I'm sorry it was the perfect timing.” he grinned over the demon. Tommy just groaned.

Purpled leaned back and watched the stars. Pointing out a few constellations in his head every once in a while. Suddenly he heard a loud gasp, which made him jolt up. As he turned to see what happened he paused. Dogchamp? He was supposed to be at the ufo.

Dogchamp was licking Tommy's face as the boy ruffled the dog's fur. He was giggling and trying to pull away from the dog. Suddenly dog champ pulled away and grabbed Tommy by the sleeve of his sweater, dragging him into the woods. Tommy stumbles after the dog with a yelp.

All Purpled was able to get out was a, “HEY! Dogchamp get back here! Tommy!” before they disappeared. Purpled quickly took off to follow the two.
