Purpled turned his attention to Tommy and a small smile crawled up his face, “it's fine Tommy, not missing out on much.” the alien had offhandedly said.

"how did you obtain this?" purpled spat, shoulders tensed, tightly gripping the shard, small bits of blood dripping from where the sharded glass stabbed at his hands from how tightly the alien hybrid gripped it.
"the offer is still up for as long as you want. think it over all you need, it still stands, brother." punz only smirked, and turned sharply on his heel, walking away, a soft noise echoing through the cave as punz walked away.
leaving purpled rather stunned, confused, and upset.

“fuck, you can’t just sneak up on me like that.” purpled lowered his hand, setting it back down on the edge of the bed, and frowned, “well, *someone’s* happy to see you.” purpled rolled his eyes as dogchamp pranced around punz, jumping onto his hindlegs and barking, his tail wagging even faster.
you see, punz was the first person dogchamp bonded with. dogchamp had been a gift from punz, for his seventeenth birthday, so, it’d been a little over a year since purpled recieved him.
“not excited to see your brother? rude.” punz huffed, as he knelt down to pet an estatic dogchamp, who circled punz, and rubbed himself against punz. punz laughed and cooed at dogchamp, speaking to him in a soft, friendly tone.
“after the eggpire? yeah, not really.” purpled spoke with a stern tone.

Summary
Purpled had never been one to believe in ghosts. Death was permanent to him. If someone died, a new star would appear in the sky, sparkling brightly for the next millennia. That was all. They would have no interaction with those still alive, and there was no afterlife. Of course, recently his beliefs had been blurred slightly.
Tommy was practically testimony to the fact that those in the afterlife had some contact with players who were still alive.
That was why the two of them were now standing on a hill beneath the stars in the middle of the night, waiting in an attempt at silence.
