“I stopped listening after you said to listen. Sorry. Reverse psychology would’ve worked better. Rah, rah, I’m a big bad supervillain, don’t listen to what I have to say. You know how it is.”
“I’m not a supervil—Jesucristo, estoy hablando con una idiota. Mira, I’ll make it nice and simple. I’m from another universe,” the intruder informs her, noticeably closer. His footsteps are light, springy enough that they’re practically inaudible. “I’m Spider-Man.”
“Creative,” she purrs. She has him right where she wants him. She clenches her left hand, forming a web-bola in her palm. “Was Man-Spider already taken?”
Or: she isn't the original anomaly, but she is the one Miguel decides to track down first. It doesn't go quite as planned.
