Chapter Text
"Frank?" They heard a voice call to them, soon exiting their daze they saw Howdy stare back at them.
"Oh sorry, I just zoned out." Ever since their business trip things have been strange between them and Eddie. "One fact as payment?"
"You are correct, as always." The caterpillar leaned in interest.
"I think my husband is cheating on me." Frank spoke, the smile one Howdy' face dropping instantly. "Just kidding, don't look so pale."
He looked relieved for a moment.
"So.. You and Eddie been okay?"
"Yes, the true fact is that some caterpillars can remain in their larvae stage for more than 14 years." The gray puppet left.
As they got home they saw the mailman sitting down and reading the newspaper. Frank sat next to Eddie and leaned on him.
"How was your business trip?" He asked bursting through his auburn hair.
"You have asked that many times, it wasn't as exciting as I had thought. What has come over you lately? Not feeling well?"
"Just kept having nightmares, and I failed a delivery again." Eddie answered.
"Maybe you are ill, let me check your tempature." Frank got up to grab a thermometer, placing it in his husband's mouth.
"Wafflecakes, I need to tell you something." He inquired.
"Yes?" They put their hand on his forehead.
"You look so handsome when you worry about me." He smiled.
"Well I always worry, but please refrain from making me." Frank almost felt like their spouse was normal for a minute.
