Before the cap even moves, Tommy’s hand gives out in a shock of pain.
Tommy bites his tongue like it’ll stop the way his vision blurs. He clutches the bottle and breathes in harshly, drawing Wilbur’s attention.
The man twists around from where he stands at the counter, quickly assessing the situation.
“Oh, love,” Wilbur gently whispers, now moving towards Tommy.
Tommy holds the water bottle tighter, his head tilted down. He doesn’t need help, he needs a body that fucking works.
But Wilbur’s standing over him, and Tommy can't back away.
Or: Tommy suffers from chronic pain and is forced to accept the help he very much does not want. Everything Tommy has bottled up erupts, and everyone is trying their best™.

Summary
Techno reaches his hands up behind his head and stretches his back, listening to it crackle and pop. He shifts his right hip and feels it grind in the joint before making a satisfying snap. This is all normal, they're just the sounds his body makes, but when he looks up Phil, Tommy and Wilbur look horrified.
“What the fuck was THAT?” Tommy half shouts, apparently mindful of his sleeping neighbours. He shudders for effect, which makes Techno roll his eyes.
“My body,” Techno shrugs, scratching at his arm like a nervous habit. “Just stretched, ya know?”
Wilbur furrows his brow and shakes his head, the other two following suit. “No.”
“Techno, mate, your body is NOT supposed to sound like that,” Phil says, his face contorted in horror and confusion.
