Both of them walked calmly under the dark sky of a winter night to their houses from rehearsal, no chatting or something, silence was something both of them enjoyed.
There was nothing to say nor something they wanted or needed to say, Nene looked at Rui's face sometimes, just one look wasn't enough for her, just looking at him was enough to make her smile.
Aware of Nene looking at him, Rui smiled at her
"Need to say something?"
Nene didn't really answer his question, she held his hand and focused on the road ahead of her.
Rui giggled softly, that was his answer.
Rui's hand was warm, contrary to the weather around them, his hand was warm.
The complete opposite of how she felt without holding his hand, it was warm.
She wondered if Rui's hand was cold before holding hers, her hand surely was cold.
She also wondered if back then, he had someone to hold his hand too.
Was his hand cold?
Did he suffer from that cold?
She looked at her other hand and thought..
'Would the story have been different if I had held your hand back then?'
She really wished, she really, really wished to be there for Rui back then, to hold his cold hand.
"Nene?"
Nene looked at him, his golden eyes were bright
She missed looking at those precious golden and bright eyes.
"Your hand is warm"
She will never let go his hand again.
