Maverick feels himself tense up. He doesn’t want to hear about Slider moaning someone else’s name. He deflates in his seat, waiting for Ice to ruin his chances by admitting that Slider lusts for someone else and that this was just some pity flirt between the two of them.
Ice must notice his dejected face because he rushes out through a breath, “Yours. He moaned out your name.”
Maverick pauses. His stomach drops and his thighs press together. He can feel the way his face burns at the admission and it’s everything he’s been waiting to hear, but he can’t bring himself to look at Slider or say anything.
