A heated argument has raged for days now, and there seems to be no end in sight. Despite Maverick's apology for several days, Ice refused to listen to what he had to say. It wasn't like their arguing was unusual, it's what happens in married life and you just got to live with it.
The accusations that Maverick made against Ice were that he deliberately ignored him, and that he ignored his calls for hours at a time. In truth, Ice has been at meetings for hours on end, working his ass off to spend time with him.
"Ice!" Maverick called out as Ice ran into the bedroom, closing and locking the door on him. "Talk to me. I'm sorry, alright?"
That's all Ice has been hearing for the past few days. There is no doubt he is stubborn, he will admit that.
The Iceman opened the door. "Talk." He spat out.
"I'm sorry for accusing you of ignoring me. You're busy, I know. I don't get the struggles of being an Admiral and having to go to a million meetings and having a trillion papers to fill out. I love you and I'm sorry for saying you ignored me when you were too busy to answer." Maverick poured out his apology.
"I work my ass off all day for you. We've been married for how long? Why would I ignore you?" Ice questioned.
"I jumped to conclusions. My insecurities got the best of me and I assumed the worse. I'm so fucking sorry, Ice." Ice saw how truly sorry he was.
"I'm sorry for being a stubborn piece of shit. I should have listened to you." He apologized back.
Maverick walked up to him, wrapping his arms around his torso. Ice gladly wrapped his arms around his waist.
"We should work on our communication more." Maverick joked.
"We really should."
