“Just… Tell me what is wrong. I can fix it.” Suho insisted. He could feel the desperation climbing up his throat and squeezing his lungs. He was a strong man, really. He could endure a lot of things… But his Sieun being mad at him? Never.
“I told you nothing is wrong.” Sieun replied with that tone he used when something was wrong. Suho knew him as well as he knew himself. Every little change in his body language, every tone he used according to his mood, Suho was an expert. And he was sure something had pissed Sieun off.
“Come on…” Suho said in a singsong voice, pouting. “I know you’re lying.”
“Can you just drop it?” Sieun told him sharply, surprising Suho.
Suho had annoyed Sieun many times before, but he had never reacted in that way, not to him. Sieun seemed to realize because he quickly frowned and looked away from Suho before mumbling: “I– Sorry.”
Suho tried to think about their day. If Sieun wasn’t telling him what was wrong, Suho would have to guess it himself. Except… Their day had been perfect. They had decided to go out to a little café that was booming online. It was filled to the brim with couples but they had gotten a seat quickly, and Suho had taken cute pictures of Sieun until the other boy was blushing and completely flustered. Could that have annoyed him?
It couldn’t be. Suho often took candid pictures of Sieun and he had never complained before. He kept thinking. After a while, Eunsoo, a classmate of theirs, had approached them. She was there with another friend, but decided to take a seat next to Suho and chat with them for a bit. She had been clearly interested in him, trying to touch his arm constantly and laughing at everything he said, even when Suho wasn’t trying to be funny. She left soon enough and Sieun asked to leave the café right after. Nothing else happened on their way back, which meant…
Suho felt a light bulb turning on.
“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?” Suho said loudly, surprised, flustered. Hopeful.
Sieun stared at him with his gorgeous eyes wide open. His face was getting redder by the second, and his gaze was filled with panic. His Sieun. How could he ever be scared of Suho’s reaction? Was he not aware of how much Suho adored him? Loved him?
“You don’t have to be. I only have eyes for you.” Suho settled on saying, smiling shyly at Sieun. Sieun understood, like he always did. He nodded, without answering. Suho started walking next to him again, and then he felt a warm hand holding his. Suho smiled, holding Sieun’s hand tightly. They were okay. More than okay.
