Work Text:

Eli never was supposed to be an only child. The years kept coming and life kept going. One minute Eli was two and the next he was sixteen.

Derek and Stiles were content with their small family. One kid to love and spoiled. Until all of that changed in a blink of an eye.

Derek was away to grab some much-needed parts for the auto shop. Eli was out with Liam doing drills in the woods. They all knew they were probably at the arcade spending all of Eli's allowance like always.

Then there was Stiles. He felt off for weeks but he chalked it up to a heavy workload and coming down with a cold. It wasn't until the heartburn he never got except when he was pregnant with Eli that he knew something was up. Stiles stared at the five positive pregnancy tests in shock.

This was not planned. Eli definitely wasn't planned either. Stiles was 18 at the time when they found out. Him and Derek only dating for a few months. Just kids trying to navigate life. This time was different. They were married now for 14 years and are full-fledged adults. Stiles placed a light hand on his stomach knowing a baby was growing once again. Now he just had to figure out how to tell his boys.
—--------------------------
Here was Stiles frantically cooking Derek's favorite meal, pork chops, green beans, and brown rice. Stiles thought it was such a weird favorite meal. His was more like a double cheeseburger and curly fries. Stiles placed the plate and the bag with Derek’s present onto the table. As he did Derek’s truck pulled into the driveway.

Stiles stood tapping his fingers against his thigh as he heard Derek slowly walk into the house down the hall until he reached the kitchen. He stopped in the doorway, running his eyes up and down Stiles. Stiles gave him a small smile and was about to gesture towards the gift when Derek stopped him.

He stood with his arms crossed and raised eyes brows. “You’re pregnant.”

Stiles threw his hands in the air. So much for a big surprise. “How do you know?”

Derek shrugged his shoulders walking closer to Stiles. He wrapped his arms around him and place a light kiss on Stiles's temple. “Babe, I can hear the faint heartbeat.”

Stiles glared at him and rolled his eyes. Stiles should have known better because of when they had Eli. Instead of trying to make a cute announcement, Stiles texted Derek in a panic until Derek ran home. Literally ran home to find Stiles crying on the bathroom floor. Derek wrapped his arms around Stiles until the tears stopped. Stiles knew it was from the pure shock and them being young. Stiles never regretted Eli. He was his baby boy.

As Stiles continued to think about the kid that was a mix of them both but was a little more like him, he felt sad. Stiles missed much of Eli's childhood as he was often off on cases and undercover for the CIA. Stiles saw most of Eli's life in the photos and videos Derek would send him. First steps, first loose tooth. The time Eli scored a goal in soccer and won first prize for his fifth-grade art show.

A swell of emotion hung in Stiles' chest. Tears began to fall from his hazel eyes. Derek looked at him in shock pulling his husband into a hug. He stroke his back, as Stiles continued to shake in his arms.

"Stiles," Derek whispered. There were only a few people that Derek was fully soft with and that was Stiles and Eli. Everyone else would say he was tough and hard. Not with these two. He could never be. "What's wrong?"

Stiles looked up at him with bloodshot eyes. Rubbing away the tears that stained his cheeks. Stiles hesitated knowing what he would say Derek would never judge.

"I feel like I gained a second chance to be a dad." He spoke.

Derek said nothing but nodded his head to continue.

"Now that I am permanently home working more with local cases and able to set my own hours I won't have to miss any of their life." Stiles rested a light hand on his stomach.

"But then I think of Eli. I was away. I was just a kid, growing up with him. I'm afraid he will hate me," the breath in his throat hitched as a sob escaped his throat.

"And I wouldn't blame him if he did."

Derek shook his head no. He took a strand that had fallen in front of Stiles's eyes pushing it behind his ear. "Eli could never hate you. He looks up to you and loves you. He's like your mini-me."

Derek was right. The kid was so much like Stiles that sometimes it scares them. Stiles had to apologize to his dad more than once as he realized what exactly he put his dad through.

"Hey, Dad, pops. Where are y'all?"

Stiles froze as he heard his son come in from the living room. Derek yelled back that they were in the kitchen and they had something to talk about with him.

" I swear I didn't see that cone. I can fix the dent." Eli paused as he saw his parents wrapped tight and his pops crying.

"What's wrong?"

Stiles rubbed his face walking over to Eli to grab his hands. "Um, we found out some big news today, and if you need time to process it. We will totally understand."

Eli's eyes grew wide as he looked between his parents. They were being weird which was making him freak out. Eli looked back at his pops waiting for more information.

Stiles sucked in a breath and glanced over at Derek who nodded. "You are going to be a big brother."

Stiles waited for Eli to yell or storm off. None of that happened, instead, Eli began to jump up and down. Screaming like he was a little kid again when he got the red Power Ranger action figure he wanted for Christmas.

Eli wrapped his arms around Stiles in surprise. Stiles looked over at Derek who had a grin on his face.

"I told you so," he mouthed.

Stiles pulled Eli back a little. He had to make sure. "You're not mad."

Eli shook his head no. "Why would I be mad? I always wanted a sibling. Might be a little late but I will be the coolest big brother. Why would I be mad?"

"Because I wasn't really around for you when you were growing up. I've always regretted that and could never apologize enough."

"Pops, I understand why you weren't but I always knew you would come home at the end of the day to play with me or watch a movie. That was what mattered. Besides, Dad was there taking a thousand photos. Could probably put them together and be like you actually were there."

Stiles pulled Eli back into a hug kissing his forehead. The kiss his mother once gave him every night before he went to bed and he did the same for his own son.
—-----------------------------
Stiles stood in the bathroom mirror examining his stomach. He knew it was impossible to see a change. He didn't show with Eli until he was six months. One day he went to bed with a flat stomach. Next fully round. He could not deny he was having a baby.

Now as he stared, Stiles felt like there was a slight curve. Nothing drastic. The bottom of his stomach puffer where the baby was growing.

Stiles felt hands wrap from behind him laying soft kisses among his many freckles.

"Can you see a curve?" Stiles asked, turning to the side.

Derek took a step back to examine and shook his head no. Stiles shrugged letting it go. He was most likely only nine weeks pregnant anyways, so no show yet.

Stiles grabbed the discarded gift and handed it to Derek. "Just because you ruined the surprise with your wolf hearing doesn't mean you still don't get to have your present."

Derek dug in the bag to pull out a shirt with a positive pregnancy test wrapped inside. Derek placed it to the side and lifted it up to read. It said, my humpin did the bumpin'.

"I'm not wearing this," Derek scowled.

Stiles began to laugh. He sat on Derek's lap to look at the shirt. "Come on, it's pretty funny. It goes with your wolf pack daddy shirt."

Derek rolled his eyes. He was not amused. "Well, I was going to put my humpin into use but maybe not."

Stiles froze, grinding his hips down. "Come on because of a shirt. I will burn it." Stiles whined.

It was now Derek's turn to laugh as he gripped Stiles' hips and flipped onto the bed with a huff. Stiles bit his lip with a come and get me to smile.
—---------------------------
It had been a few months since they found out they were going to have another baby. No one knew except for a few pack members that dropped by the house. There was still one man that Stiles needed to tell. Excitement bubbled in Stiles' chest.

He pushed the door open to the sheriff's department. Said hello to Allen and asked if his dad was there. He sure was. Stiles walked down the hall holding lunch he picked up. He knocked on the door. His dad looked up at him over his glasses with a smile.

"I brought lunch," Stiles sat down, dishing out the meal. A salad for him and a low-carb burrito for his dad. He gave up fighting with the old man on healthy choices so he compromised instead.

His dad quirked an eyebrow at him at the salad. "What? I'm eating healthy."

"So, how's life? What's the case look like for that missing girl?"

A girl in Eli's class went missing about two weeks ago. It was Eli that brought Stiles's attention to it since she was a friend. Noel. Stiles knew Eli had a crush on her with him coming home with tears in his eyes.

"No. Eli is going out of his mind. I wish there was a way I could do something. I get where he's coming from. Derek and I have been there before."

Noah nodded. He was there when Stiles was possessed and when Derek went missing when Eli was just three weeks old. Stiles almost lost his mind. Luckily, Noah was there to pick up where Stiles couldn't.

"Well, what else is going on with the kid? Maybe I will take him out this weekend."

Stiles nodded knowing Eli would love to hang out with his papa. "Well, he is still a straight-A student. Not surprised honestly and he's going to try out for the lacrosse team again."

Noah scoffed. Stiles agreed. "I tell him he should go out for soccer since he is so much better but he's afraid with his new wolf abilities he would kick the ball across town."

Noah laughed. It was hard for him to still wrap his mind around the fact that he had a werewolf for a grandson.

"Well, what about you and Derek? How's life?"

"That's actually why I came down today for lunch. Got some news to share."

Noah paused laying the sandwich down to focus on what his son was about to say. The last time Stiles said those words, Noah was going to be a grandfather.

Noah could remember the day. A million emotions rushed through him. There was fear for his kid since he was young and carrying a half-werewolf child. There was excitement because he was going to have a grandkid. At this moment he could feel those same feelings rise in his chest.

"So, Derek and I are going to have another baby. I'm pregnant, Dad."

Noah jump and began to dance around the same way Eli did. Stiles laughed at his dad. He commented that this time around was much different than the first and Noah could agree.

"Papa, here he comes for round two."
—------------------
"I know Derek but it's been three months since this Noel girl has been missing. There have been no leads and Eli is going crazy," Stiles said.

Derek squeezed Stiles' hand. "I understand but I've been out of the game for a long time."

"Doesn't mean you can't get back in for this one case."

"How about I look through the files tonight with you and we can ask Eli what he knows about this girl."

Stiles nodded. He knew it was a lot to ask Derek to come back in to fight monsters and find missing people. He gave that life up a long time ago which made him a better man.

"Hi, kids," Mrs. McCall walked into the room towards the ultrasound machine.

Today was the sixth month check up and they could find out the gender of the baby if they would like.

Stiles laid back as instructed on the table lifting his shirt. His belly was much rounder and fuller. He was bigger than when he had Eli. Melissa placed light hands on his stomach to feel for the baby. Today they were on the right side more.

She squirts the cold blue gel onto Stiles' stomach making him wince. In a matter of seconds, the sound of the heartbeat absorbed the room. On the monitor was their baby. For Stiles, it never got old to see the thing he and Derek created grow inside of him.

"Everything looks good. Now they are measuring a little big. I'm sorry to tell you this Stiles but this baby might be an eight-pounder."

Stiles just laughed. Eli was nine pounds and long. There was no room by the time his due date came around and pushing felt like the eighth circle of hell. Stiles could do eight pounds.

"Would you like to know the gender?"

Stiles looked over at Derek and Derek shook his head no. They already agreed in the car to wait till baby Hale was born.
—------------------
Normal family nights were watching a movie or playing a board game. It wasn't sitting around the kitchen table looking over files of a missing girl.

The files noted that Noel was last seen on a Tuesday afternoon during winter break. She had been standing outside of the high school, waiting to be picked up since she was a part of the spring musical. Based on the security cameras she was there one minute and the next she was completely gone. Almost like she vanished from thin air.

"Eli, did Noel know about you or anything supernatural," Derek questioned.

Eli bit into a slice of pizza and began to talk with his mouth full. "No. We were in art together so we mostly talked about art."

Stiles continued to stare at the two video images. There was nothing there except a blur in the right corner. Stiles picked up the picture to look closer. The blur was a person. Werewolf maybe but they knew all the werewolves in Beacon Hill.

He laid the picture out in front of the boys to show his observation. As he was about to explain his findings the doorbell rang. Stiles stood up walking over to the door. He opened it to find his best friend Scott. He lives in Los Angeles now so they barely saw each other. Mostly through face time, calls, and scheduled trips to their respective locations.

"Woah dude, you're pregnant," Scott commented.

Stiles nodded, holding his belly. He explained he only had three months and six days left till another little one will be here.

"I'm glad to see you but you never come down unannounced."

"I need Derek's help with a case."

Stiles guided Scott into the kitchen where Eli jumped up and hugged him.

"Hey, that strength is really coming in," Scott wheezed.

Scott made a note with all of the files and then looked up at Derek. "Derek, I need your help with this girl with long dark brown hair. Erica and Boyd think she is from here but she has gone mute."

"That's Noel," Eli shouted. He grabbed the photo of her outside of the school. Shoving it into Scott’s face. Scott grabbed the photo looking at it. He nodded.

“Yeah, that’s her. She was dropped at the wolf pack meeting spot. She was unconscious and bloody. She has been bitten.”

Stiles looked over at Eli seeing the fear in his eyes. His eyes flashed yellow. Derek wrapped an arm around their son to calm him down. Eli shoved Derek away going to his room. Derek looked over at Stiles in confusion. Stiles waved a hand knowing he could take care of it.

Stiles walked up the stairs stopping at his son’s door. “Eli, are you okay?”

The door swung open to show Eli’s bright golden eyes with tears staining his cheeks.

“Oh, my pup,” Stiles wrapped his arms around Eli walking them both to his bed. Eli leaned his head on Stiles's lap. Stiles pushed his long dark hair out of his eyes as his child continued to sob in his lap. Stiles's heart broke for the young boy.

“Eli, is there anything else you want to tell us about Noel,”

Eli looked up at him, his eyes back to dark brown. “This is all my fault.”

“How?” Stiles asked.

“I lied. She knew I was a werewolf. She actually knew a lot about the supernatural. I don’t know how. Noel told me that something was following her a few weeks before she disappeared. A wolf but I didn’t believe her because we know all of the wolves. I told her that.”

There was a rogue wolf in Beacon Hill turning innocent people into wolves. Why does this feel like Deja vu, Stiles thought. Probably because it was. Stiles reassured Eli that everything would be okay and instructed him to not leave the house until they understood what was out there.
—-------------------------
“A rogue werewolf is turning people again,” Derek exclaims. He rubbed a hand down his face.

“I know. Didn’t really imagine we were going to deal with this all over again almost twenty years later.” Stiles threw up his hands in exasperation.

“Well, Eli can not leave the house and we have to keep a close eye on him. This Alpha might come for him to be a part of his pack as Peter did to Scott.”

Stiles looked towards the stairs holding his stomach. Both of his kids were in danger and there was nothing Stiles could do. They didn’t know who this Alpha was or what they want. All they knew was this Noel girl was now a werewolf and was going to change soon.

“Well, what's the plan?” Stiles asked.

Scott and Derek stared at him. Stiles snapped a finger at him and gave them a frustrated smile. “There’s no plan. Great,”

Stiles began to pace. He could not stay still anymore as all this information was becoming too much. Derek walked over grabbing his hands. He stopped looking at his husband. “What?”

“Stiles, you need to relax. It's not good for the baby.”

“Yeah, well my other baby might be possessed by some crazy werewolf.” Stiles snapped. “I should be used to this right. I’ve seen everything in the book. But this is too much.”

Derek wiped away a tear that Stiles didn’t even realize fell. “Baby, it will be okay. The first step will be bringing Noel back. Scott and I will leave tonight and be back in the morning. Liam, Mason, Lydia, and Parrish will come over to help watch if the wolf decides to come.” Derek laid a kiss on his temple making him close his eyes.

“Okay,”

“Okay,” Stiles nodded.

“I will always protect you all of you,” Derek placed his hands on Stiles’s stomach where the baby began to kick against the touch.

Stiles knew Derek would move mountains to protect his family. What worried Stiles was that Derek would move the mountain until he was crushed under it. Stiles could not bare to lose the one person he ever loved.

Stiles kissed Derek as he went to go be the hero once again.
—-------------------------------------------------------
Eli lay in bed reading old messages between Noel and him. He might have told his parents that she was just a friend but she was much more than that. Noel was the love of his life. Some might say how could he know that at sixteen but he would just say because his parents knew at the same age.

They had met in art class. That part was true. Noel walked into class with her bright pink hair, ripped jeans, and Rolling Stone t-shirt. Eli was memorized wanting to know more about this girl. She could have sat anywhere but she choose to sit next to him. It was Noel that turned to him with her bright emerald eyes and her crooked smile.

“Hi, I’m Noel,” she said as she pulled out her sketched pad. Her canvas bag full of pins with love wins all, I’m not weird you are, and one that stuck out to Eli “Werewolves are cool”.

He laughed at that button. If only she knew that werewolves were not cool.

“What’s your name,” Noel asked.

Eli stammered, “Hale Eli Elias Eli,”

She laughed, narrowing her eyes. “Nice to meet you Hale Eli Elias Eli.”

Eli knew he definitely was blowing it. “Sorry, my name is actually Elias but I go by Eli and Hale is my last name.”

She continued to smile at him. Before they could say more the teacher began to talk. Eli glanced at her journal and noticed there were drawings of fairies, werewolves, and magical symbols that he had only ever seen in his pops spell book that he wasn’t supposed to touch.

The school year continued and their relationship was growing. Soon there were holding hands under the table and quick kisses in-between classes. Ice cream dates after practice. It was nice but Eli’s mind always came back to the button and the sketch pad that now had portraits of Eli.
So, Eli decided to take her into the woods to show her the true him. If Eli knew what was going to happen he would not have.

Eli stopped the Jeep, pulling her into the forest at the rock cliff. The edge of the forest is where you can see the whole town. The wind whipped around her causing her now brown hair to lay around her shoulders. He could see blue peeking from underneath. She had to dye it because of the play. Eli missed the pink.

Eli walked over wrapping his flannel around her shoulders. He placed a light kiss on her lips. “So, you think werewolves are cool?”

Noel squinted not understanding what he was saying.

“Then you will think I’m pretty damn cool,”

Eli flashed his gold eyes and let his claws descend from his fingers. Noel gasped but didn’t move.

“I knew they were real,” She whispered.

“Yeah, like my whole family are werewolves well except for my pops and papa. They are human which kind of makes me half-human. For a while, we didn’t think I was a werewolf because I’m a late bloomer.” Eli kept talking until she kissed him.

Noel took a step back as he could see her eyes grow dark. “What’s wrong,” he asked.

“I’ve been being followed for a few weeks by a werewolf. Well, I think it’s a werewolf. I’m not sure.”

Eli hugged her running a hand down her long hair. “Hey, I know all of the werewolves in Beacon Hills and they are great people. There is nothing to fear. I will introduce you to them.”

Eli turned over in his bed. If only he knew there was something to fear and he told his parents sooner. Noel wouldn’t be hurt and turning into a werewolf. She could die.

“Eli, come down here for a second,” his pops yelled.

Eli groaned making his way down the steps. Then he stopped as he saw her. His Noel. Eli ran towards her scooping her into his arms and kissing her hard. She stayed still with wide eyes. He took a step back to examine her. She was dressed in a pair of leggings and a black tank top. Most likely Erica’s. Her hair was brushed in a ponytail and she was bared face. Noel’s emerald eyes now were more forest green and haunted.

“Hey, Noel, you are safe now,” Eli said taking her hand. “Tell us what happened.”
“He, he took me. It was so dark in the forest. He threw me to the ground. I could feel his breath, see his teeth. He said I was going to be the next Alpha of his pack. Then I remember pain throughout my body and then I woke up with Erica braiding my hair.” Noel spoke shakily.

Eli held her as she sank into his arms.

“Do you remember what this Alpha looked like?” his dad asked.

Noel shook her head no. “The forest was too dark. His eyes were red.”
—------------------------------------------

Stiles, Derek, and Scott sat at the kitchen table. All three of them trying not to fall asleep as they’d been up for more than twenty-four hours. Noel was in their spare room trying to sleep and Eli sat in front of the door to make sure nothing would happen.

They were at a dead end with not being able to determine what this Alpha looked like. There was no way to know what his next move was or who he would attack next.

“We could use a dog whistle,” Stiles shrugged.

Derek and Scott glared at him. They were not amused.

Stiles yawned laying his hand against his head. Derek noticed giving him a concerned glance. “Babe, you need to sleep. Go lay down. You need to take care of yourself.”

Stiles knew Derek was right but how could he sleep when there was so much work to do? At the same time being six months pregnant meant he needed to take better care of himself. Stiles stood up making his way towards the mahogany steps. The same ones Derek built when they first moved in twelve years ago.
.
As Stiles reached the top he saw Eli asleep on the ground. Stiles walked over, bending down to the best of his abilities to tap him on the shoulder. Eli jerked up, flailing his arms.

"Hey, woah, baby wolf," a nickname Stiles hadn't used since Eli was a young child. "Let's go to bed."

"I can't. I need to make sure she is okay."

"And you can after you get some rest." Eli jumped up following Stiles into his and Derek's room. He held his son as the boy that wasn't so little drifted off to sleep.
—-------------------
Months came and went. Nothing changed. Leads became dead ends. Noel transformed into a full-fledged werewolf which Derek helped her control.

Three more kids from nearby schools were taken but the same thing on the cameras as theirs showed a blur. Stiles wished he could just slow the tape down more but it would be impossible with how old the technology was.

Scott left weeks ago. He had to get back to L.A to his pack and his family. Alison and the girls were missing him.

Then there was Stiles who was finishing the final touches of the nursery as he was due in just two weeks. He was glad they kept most of Eli's stuff since they were too busy with the Alpha to go shopping.

Derek walked, placing a kiss on his temple and grabbing a onesie to fold. "So, we got a lead."

Stiles put down the clothes and stared at his husband in shock. "What?"

"We think it is this guy named Arthur Hart. He was a biochemist in upstate California. He was fired for trying to recreate the effects of the werewolf bite. It turns out he did and injected it into his veins but now he's becoming sick."

"Like werewolf poisoning. Woah, is this going to happen to Noel?" Stiles asked, fearing what would happen to Eli if she died.

"I don't know but I got Lydia and Boyd came down to help find a cure in case she does."

Stiles wanted to ask what would happen if they didn't. He couldn't bear to keep that thought.

Derek told him the plan. Scott is arriving in an hour with Erica. Derek, Scott, Erica, and Issac were going to find this Arthur dude. Supposedly he drinks at the Blood Tavern on Thursday. Stiles just loved that this man has been under their noses for the last three months.

Liam, Boyd, Kira, Mason, and Lydia were going to stay at the house in case Arthur decided to wake up and attack Eli and Noel.

"You know I don't love this plan right."

Derek looked trying his best to fold. He wasn't very good. "I know but what other options do we have? This man has been terrorizing this town for almost nine months."

Stiles just didn't like that Derek had to be out there in the field while Stiles couldn't be there to back him up. He always did.

“What are you going to do once you find him?”

“Tear his throat out with my teeth,” Derek smiled flashing his canines.
Stiles rolled his eyes. “Cute, wasn’t funny the first time you made that joke.”

“I don’t know. It worked on you.” Derek said.

Stiles laid the onesies down, walking over to Derek. “Promise me you will come home.”

Derek grabbed his hand kissing the inside of his wrist. “I always do.”
—----------------
Night had fallen as Stiles paced the living room. There was no sign of Derek, Scott, or Erica. It had been three hours with no contact. Stiles knew that everything was okay but that didn’t stop his anxiety. It also didn’t help that his friends were staring at him.

“Stiles, please stop pacing,” Lydia said without looking up from one of her many books.

“No, this is calming,” Stiles said crossing his arms over his chest.

“Well, it’s giving the rest of us anxiety,” Boyd said.

Stiles rolled his eyes as he continued to make his sixth lap around the living room.

“Stiles, why don’t you rest before you pop,” Parrish asked.

Before Stiles could make a comment a sharp pain went through his back around his stomach. He grabbed his stomach doubling over as the pain continued. Liam ran over grabbing Stiles to help him over to the couch. All of the pack members hovered over him as he tried to catch his breath.

“I’m good,” Stiles breathed out.

“No, you are not. Was that a contraction?” Liam asked.

Stiles knew it was but it was also early. He could be in labor for hours. Eli didn’t arrive after thirty-six hours. There was nothing to worry about. That didn’t mean Stiles still wasn’t worried. Derek was still out there. No one knew if he was okay or hurt. If any of the group was.

Stiles felt another sharp pain making him close his eyes. In a matter of two minutes, it was over. Stiles held out a hand for someone to help him up but everyone was looking around to see if anyone would dare allow him to move from the spot. He huffed.

“Someone better help me up this damn second. I need to pee.” Boyd grabbed his hand pulling him to his feet.

The need to pee was half the truth. He needed to be alone and see if he could get a hold of Derek. Stiles climbed the steps to their bedroom. He closed the door hoping this would block some of the super wolf hearing. He pulled out his phone to find the contact sour wolf.

“Where the hell are you, Derek?” Stiles yelled into the phone as soon as he was sent to voicemail. “It might be false labor but the baby might be coming. So, get your ass here now.”

Another contraction ripped through him. This one was much stronger than the other two. He was fucked. This baby was coming tonight as his husband was gone and his son was in danger. At least all of the pack members were downstairs. The best thing Stiles needed right now was to take a shower as his skin grew hot. There was no way he was going back to the living room as everyone hovered around him, scared.
—-------------------------------------
Scott, Derek, and Erica walked downtown looking for the Blood Tavern. Derek knew the spot was hidden from normal eyes. The door was solid gray with a black strip. No door handle.

“How in the hell are we supposed to get in there dude,” Scott demanded.

Derek flashed his blue eyes and pulled out a silver key. Derek still had his secrets such as the Blood Tavern used to be owned and operated by his grandparents in the 1920s during prohibition. Then his parents took it over in the ’70s but sold it once Cora was born. That didn’t stop them from having a key. Derek laid the key against the black strip which shined blue. In seconds the door swung open to a dimly lit bar.

“Does Stiles know about this magic key?” Scott questioned.

“Stiles knows everything. We keep no secrets from each other. Now for the rest of you, it's more of a need to know bases.”

That was the truth. Derek even brought Stiles here the night he was going to propose. Stiles thought it was the coolest place he had ever been. They met some close friends here that they use as contacts for cases.

Erica huffed pushing her blonde hair over her shoulder and walking ahead of them. Derek snarled walking behind. He scanned the room until his eyes landed on Lilly, a shapeshifter. She ran over to him wrapping her long tan arms around his neck. Lilly placed two kisses on either side of his cheeks.

“Derbear!” She cried.

“Derbear?” Erica whispered to Scott. Scott shrugged his shoulders.

Derek’s cheeks turned bright red as Lily took a step back to examine the rest of the group. Scott gave a tiny wave and Erica crossed her arms giving the taller girl a nod.

“What’s going on Derek? Shouldn’t you be at home,” Lilly lowered her voice. “Stiles is due soon right.”

Derek nodded. He knew they were cutting it close but Arthur needed to be taken down. He just hoped the baby would wait until he got back home.

“We are looking for someone. Have you seen Arthur Hart? He is a dangerous werewolf and comes here a lot.” Derek held up a picture of the rogue scientist.

Lilly’s eyes grew wide shaking her. “He hasn’t come in today. Arthur always does. Sits right there.” Pointing over to the edge of the bar. The chair was empty.

Derek looked over at the other two in defeat. Another dead end for this awful case.

“Wait, do you have anything of his?” Scott asked.

Lilly walked around the bar and pulled out a bowler hat. Scott grabbed it taking a sniff. In a matter of seconds, he was off-tracking the scent. Erica ran ahead with him. Derek turned to Lilly giving her a small hug.

“Thank you,”

“Tell Stiles congratulations!”
—------------------------------
Scott tracked the scent out to the edge of the woods. They looked around to find nothing.

“Scott, he’s not here.”

“Derek, I can see that. I don’t know what else to do because the scent ends here.”

Before anyone of them could say anything else the trees rustled. They turned around with fangs bared and claws out. Arthur was here. Erica ran toward the tree but was pushed to the ground.

“There is some kind of force field,” she growled pushing her hair out of her face.

“Arthur, come out now,” Derek growled.

The trees rustled again behind them. They turned to find the three young teens that went missing. Each one wolfed out and charged toward them. A black hair boy that was no older than Eli attacked Derek. Derek grabbed him, pushing him to the ground. The boy swiped at him scratching his arm. Derek picked up the boy, placing him against a tree as he continued to attack. Derek wasn’t fazed with the young boy barely able to control his newfound werewolf abilities. Derek pulled out some sleep dust Stiles gave him and blew it into the boy’s face. He was out.

Derek turned to Erica and Scott to see their respectable partners were down as well. They join back together. Scott tried to hand Derek a cloth to stop the bleeding but he waved him off. The cut was already healing. Then they heard a laugh. A deep rumble that rattled the ground.

“Arthur, come out here so I can kill you,” Derek shouted.

Arthur walked out of the woods with a laugh. “See Derek Hale, you won’t kill me. See I have something you want.”

Stepping out behind Arthur’s back was Eli. His hazel eyes were dark as Arthur was controlling him. Derek leap forward but was stopped as Erica and Scott held him back. He growled trying to get out of their grip.

“Derek, stop.” Scott pleaded.

Derek whipped around, and anger flared in his eyes. “That son of a bitch as Eli.” He turned back around to him. Derek looked at Eli to see he was unhurt but wasn’t himself.

“You see. My plan is coming together I am the alpha I was always supposed to become but sadly the poisoning is killing me but with the help of Eli here.” Arthur ran a nail along Eli’s face. Derek’s jaw clench. “I could live. He was the perfect blood. Hale and a spark mixed together.”

“Eli, listen to me don’t listen to him,” Derek called.

Eli didn’t respond. His eyes were wide and unmoving.

“I’m done with this. Eli, attack.” Arthur snapped.

Eli transformed and went after them. Going for Derek first.

“Stiles, are you okay?”

Stiles clenched the shower wall as the water continued to wash over him. The contractions continued to come over the past two hours he was in there. Each one getting more and more intense. He knew the baby was moving farther down and they were running out of time.

Once the contraction passed he turned off the water, grabbed a towel to dry off, and then threw on one of Derek’s old shirts and basketball shorts. He opened the door to find Lydia holding a mason jar. The cure for wolf poisoning.

“Stiles be honest with me. Are you in labor?”

“Yes,” Stiles said.

“Stiles, we need to get you to the hospital.” Lydia grabbed his arm trying to pull him downstairs.

Stiles didn’t budge. “No, not until Derek gets here. We have plenty of time. The contractions are not that close and my water hasn’t even broken yet.”

“You are crazy. I’m calling Melissa and we are leaving,” Lydia demanded.

Stiles didn’t move placing his hands on his hips. “Lydia I have already done this once in a loft across town almost seventeen years ago. I know what to expect and we are good.”

Lydia was pleased with his answer. If he was being honest with himself, Stiles wasn’t too confident either. His labor was progressing a lot faster than Eli's. Eli took forever and Stiles was crying for relief once he was born. Stiles never let his kid forget either when he was acting like a jerk.

Stiles walked into Eli’s room to see if his kid was hungry. Dinner passed a long time ago but Stiles could microwave leftover lasagna. As he pushed the door open Eli was gone. Stiles's legs became weak. Where was his son? Lydia caught him yelling for Liam and Boyd to come help. Eli was gone, Stiles kept thinking.

“Where the hell is my son?” Stiles yelled. Liam and Boyd looked at each other as they reached the top of the steps. No one had an answer.

Before Stiles knew it another contraction punched through him making him fall to his knees. He screamed out in pain making all of the pack members meet them in the hallway. Everyone didn’t know what to do. Lydia pulled out her phone calling Mrs. McCall. The contraction kept going making Stiles whimper in pain. Tears fell from his eyes. Then he could feel the wetness between his legs. His water broke.

“Fuck,” Stiles yelled.
—-------------------------------
They got Stiles up off his knees and laying on his and Derek’s bed. The pain continued coming in waves. Stiles kicked everyone out except for Lydia. He kind of wanted to kick her out too with her continuing to demand that they go to a hospital.

“Lydia,” Stiles groaned. “I’m having a part werewolf baby. What do you think will happen when a doctor delivers them and their eyes flash yellow? Or if their claws decide to poke out.”

Lydia shut up sitting down in a chair across from the bed. “Fine, you’re right. Melissa is on her way.”

Another contraction hit making Stiles grip the sheets of the bed and growling like a wolf. A side effect of having a werewolf baby. As he continued to cry, Melissa walked in grabbed his hand, and instructed him to breathe. Once it subsided Stiles leaned back, closing his eyes trying to catch a rest.

Melissa walked over to Lydia so to get all the details. How far apart were the contractions and how long were each? Liam listened for the heartbeat before Stiles yelled at him to leave and said everything was okay. Stiles didn’t listen but grabbed his phone instead. He tried calling Derek again but once again voicemail. He threw his phone across the room which got Melissa and Lydia’s attention.

“Hey, Stiles, sweetheart. We need to stay calm okay?” Melissa said.

He waved her off as he tried to stand up. Stiles only had a shirt on as his pants were ruined. He looked through a draw to find another pair but fail to put them on. He threw them trying to find something else that could cover him.

“Stiles, what are you doing?”

“I’m trying to get dressed because I will not be calm until I go find my family.” He yelled. Stiles took a breath. “Sorry.”

“Stiles, you are in active labor. Who knows how far you are? You can not leave.” Melissa softly said.

Stiles turned to her holding his belly. The baby was pushing on his pelvis causing him discomfort as he stood. Tears welled in his eyes. “I’m scared. Derek is missing and Eli is gone. I’m about to have this baby without my anchor. I need to go and look for them.”

Stiles hadn’t realized Melissa took his hands guiding him to the bed or that Lydia had left the room leaving them alone. Stiles wiped the tears running down his face. Melissa pushed his hair out of his face placing a soft kiss on his cheek. She was as much a mother to him as his own mother was to him.

“Sweetheart, I know you are scared but right now I need you to focus on this baby,” She laid a hand on his belly. “There are amazing people that will protect you and bring them home. Derek would want the two of you safe.”

Stiles nodded knowing she was correct. Derek would be mad if he missed the birth of his child and that he wasn’t here to help Stiles but he be pissed if he knew Stiles put himself in harm's way.

Stiles laid back against the pillows allowing Melissa to check his progress. He winced as a contraction pulsed in his back.

“Stiles, you are at eight centimeters. You are very close to having this baby.”

Tears spilled once again. He just wanted Derek here. To feel his rough fingers against his skin. To smell the cedar soap that clung to his beard. To feel his soft lips against his temple telling him he was beautiful.
—--------------------------
“Eli, I am not going to hurt you,” Derek shouted.

Eli continued trying to attack Derek but Derek was faster dodging each swing. Scott and Erica were trying to get to Arthur but the other teens woke back up and was attacking them.

“Elias, it’s Dad.”

Eli stopped almost as he recognized the sound of Derek’s voice. Then Eli grew angry leaping on top of Derek and punching him. Derek grabbed his son’s fists flipping him to the ground and pinning him on the grown.

“Elias, stop. Listen,” Derek demanded. “Late at night when the moon is high. The Wolf will make its eerie cry. Echoes in the valleys deep. And the mountains that are steep.” Derek began to sing.

The song was called midnight lullaby. Derek would sing the song to Eli when he was just an infant when he wouldn’t fall asleep. Eli’s eyes flashed yellow. He squeezed them shut and opened them again. Derek could see the confusion written all over his face. Derk pulled his son in his arms as Eli asked what happened.

“Doesn’t matter. You are okay,” Derek said.

In the distance could hear Arthur screaming no. Derek pulled Eli to his feet. He set his target eyes on Arthur. He ran towards him claws out as he sliced across the older man's throat. Arthur fell as the blood bubbled around him. He began choking clawing at his neck. Derek stomped on his sternum causing a cracking sound to echo around them. His body stopped twitching as Derek picked him up and threw him off the cliff. No one was going to find his body.

The other werewolves stopped in their tracks not understanding what was happening. Derek hugged Eli again being thankful to have his son safe. Eli told him that the kids need to come with them and Derek agreed. As they walked to the truck Derek pulled at his phone to find several missed calls from the other pack members and Stiles. Stiles left a few voicemails. Each one Derek listened to. The blood in his body ran cold as he heard the pain, his love’s voice growing more and more anxious.

“We need to leave now. Stiles is having the baby like right now.”
—-------------
“Stiles, you are ready. You need to push.” Melissa prompted.

Stiles shook his head but did anyway. His body forced him to even though he needed to wait for Derek. Derek would be here. He breathed leaning back as he waited for the next one. There it was forcing Stiles to push again.

He continued to push. Felt like he was for hours when in reality it was only thirty minutes. Stiles felt so tired. Didn’t like he could continue.

“Stiles, you are doing amazing. The baby is almost here.”

He pushed again letting out the loudest scream he could as he could feel burning between his legs. The baby was beginning to crown. Then the door slams open to show Derek running to his side. He pushed Stile’s sweaty hair out of his eyes laying a gentle kiss to his temple.

“You’re doing amazing baby,” Derek whispered.

Stiles looked up at him with shining eyes. “You’re here. Eli, is Eli okay.”

Derek nodded. “Yes, he’s safe. I will tell you later.”

Stiles agreed as he gave one final push. He could feel the baby slip out of his body and lay in his arms. A girl. They had a baby girl. She was perfect with light green eyes and ash-brown hair. If Eli was the perfect mix of Derek and Stiles then she was an exact copy of Derek.
—------------------------------------
Derek, Stiles, and their little girl lay in bed. Stiles gets some rest while listening to Derek about what happened in the woods with Arthur and Eli. Stiles's heart aches thinking about his little boy. He was probably scared out of his mind but he also had Noel to comfort him.

There was a slight knock on the door and then walked in Eli. Eli stood back watching his new baby sister squirm in his pop’s arms. Stiles motioned him over but asked him to be quiet. Eli walked over looking at the small child through his long dark eyelashes. A trait from Derek.

“Meet Claudette Laura Hale.” Stiles whispered. The baby stretched a hand as if to say hello.

Eli ran a finger along her small hand. She gripped it tight not letting go. She already loved her older brother and he loved her. Eli walked to the other side of the bed snuggling close to Stiles's other side. Stiles bent kissing the top of his head. The boy fell asleep with faint snores filling the room.
—----------------------------
One year later

“Eli, be careful. She is still small.” Stiles hollered to his son who was now throwing his baby sister up in the air.
“She’s a werewolf,” He called back.

“I don’t care,” Stiles yelled back as he tried to get the cake out of the oven before it burned.

Derek grabbed Claudia from Eli’s grip making her giggle. Derek handed him decorations which caused a groan from his seventeen-year-old son. Deep down Eli was excited for Claudia’s birthday and even volunteered to dress up as her favorite princess.

Derek laid a kiss on Stiles's temple as he swiped a finger full of frosting. Stiles slapped his hand.

“No, I need all of this.” Stiles scowled.

“Can you believe it’s been a year?” Derek asked.

Stiles shook his no as he finished all the final touches for the food area. The last year had been busy with Claudia already showing signs of wolfism. That was scary having a legit infant werewolf. Then Eli was applying to colleges and figuring out to be a proper werewolf. Stiles couldn’t wait for a slowdown. That wasn’t going to happen as he decided to run for Sheriff with his dad finally retiring. This would be easier for him to be home a lot more often.

“No, I can’t. I still remember popping this one out,” Stiles laughed tickling Claudia.

Before anything could be said the doorbell rang meaning guests were arriving. Stiles ran to the door. “Welcome party people, who’s ready to partaaay!”
