Wels isn't on Hermitcraft when the stranger comes to his door. He's on a medium sized public Server, one that's in a fantasy medieval setting reminiscent of his Home Server. It wasn't uncommon for other Players to come to his house, it wasn't in a town but it wasn't far from one and he was one of the best Players who could enchant on the Server, so others often came to get their gear enchanted for either a few gold or a days help at his farm. (It was still weird for him going from Hermitcraft's diamond run economy to the gold/silver/copper economy here).
No one has come to his house badly injured before. Back on Hermitcraft, usually if someone got a bad enough injury they'd usually just respawn if a simple potion or meal wouldn't heal them (at the cost of a scar, of course). But while this Server wasn't Hardcore it was one where having tons of deaths wasn't seen as good, and many Players on it weren't used to Respawns (and Wels remembers how bad they used to hurt before he had gotten used to them soon after he had first joined Hermitcraft a few hundred years ago.)
But, still, an injury as bad as this would have even the Players with zero deaths think about a respawn. But, well, Wels wasn't a person to just let someone bleed out, and quickly moved the stranger to his couch. (Maybe if he had paid more attention he would have noticed the lack of Username above their head.)
Wels wasn't the best at potion making, he always did Enchantments and no matter what anyone said potions and enchantments were nothing alike, Scar. But he wasn't young and had made potions before, and if he infused the potion of healing with just a little bit of magic, it wouldn't hurt the stranger.
Wels looked at the stranger while he made the potion, dark skin, brown hair, a cyan shirt and purple pants. Definitely odd for a Server like this, maybe they were new? It's possible they encountered a jumpy Player or an armed zombie or something similar while exploring, and Wels was just the closest person around. Their eyes opened as Wels looked over them, and he almost jumped, because those eyes were pure white. Bright and glowing, not unlike Joe's whenever he got a glance at them from under the other Hermit's glasses. (Maybe if he had been thinking about more than healing the stranger, he would have realized why they were so familiar.
He smiled at the stranger, he himself was weirder than some human with glowing eyes. Griffin hybrids weren't super common anywhere but Servers like the one he was on right now, and even then they weren't very common. Wels has been invited to a few Flocks/Prides on his time in this Server, but he's declined them all. The Hermits were his Flock.
The stranger smiled and nodded their head as he handed them the potion, "Thanks." They said, their voice was hoarse as if it hadn't been used in a while. Wels smiled back, "No problem, it's not everyday someone comes to my door with more blood outside of their body than in." If the light hits the stranger correctly he swears their blood seemed to shine gold.
The stranger tilts their head at him, "Did you do something to this potion?" He nods, "Just put some magic into it, not much but I'm not the best at potion making, so it's just to give it a little boost."
"I thought it seemed familiar..." The stranger says quietly to themself, Wels thought about responding but decided not to, if the stranger was talking to him they wouldn't have said it so quietly. Familiar was an odd word to describe someone's magic, especially someone who you've never met before, but maybe the stranger had met someone with similar magic or another griffin hybrid before? Wels turns to the stranger, "If you need anything just shout, otherwise you should rest." He says as he leaves the house. He winces and rubs his head, why was his magic being so loud?

The stranger had healed quickly, by lunch the next day they were able to help out Wels on the farm, Wels had tried to tell them to lay down but they wouldn't so he eventually gave up. The stranger, who had told him to call them Bri, was really good help. With them Wels was able to feed the animals and take care of the crops in half the time, allowing him to be able to go down to the town earlier than expected.
Wels takes his communicator out once he gets on the main road, trusting his horse to stay on the path, he messages Xisuma letting the Admin know that he might be back onto Hermitcraft sooner than he thought, and telling him about Bri. He doesn't mention anything about their appearance, though he doesn't really know why. It's not like Xisuma would ever do anything especially when they didn't even pretend like they would attack Wels.
Wels dismounted his horse, waving to the other Players in town as he bought some extra food for his animals. He was planning on paying some other Players to take care of them and his farm when he was done, but it didn't hurt to have some extra food in case one year the harvest wasn't good.

When Wels gets back to his farm he sees Bri standing there with a bag on their back. "Leaving already?" He asks, it's surprising a human like them had healed already even with the healing potion. Maybe they were one of the human-appearing species, like Mumbo, or a species with the ability to look human, like Keralis, it doesn't matter much to him though.
Bri nods, "Yeah, I'm ready to leave." They pet the neck of a horse, seemed like they had tamed one of the wild ones while he was gone. "It was nice knowing you, hopefully I'll see you again some day." They say as Wels walks them and their horse (he swears he sees feathers instead of fur.) To the end of his farm.

A few weeks later, while Wels is getting ready to leave for Hermitcraft, he smacks his head. Herobrine. That's who Bri was.
Now how does he tell about half of the Hermits that he met the person they've been looking for the past few hundred years and doesn't know where they went.
