Dear Ethel
Thank you for your last letter. The answer to your question about the homework is four drops of moon water, at least if Magical Drafts and Potions are to be believed.
How are you? I hope you’re doing well, and that the children you’re babysitting aren’t too demanding or annoying.
I know you don’t always follow wizard news during the summer, so I’m not sure if you’re aware, but Ireland has made it to the finale in the Quidditch World Cup and they’re playing against Norway. I don’t know if you want to read about it, but I made Dad buy an extra copy of Quidditch Quarterly and have included it, so you can catch up if you want to.
It’s the first time the UK has made it to the finals since 1994, so it’s a very big deal. If you’re wondering why I’m telling you all of this, it’s because one of Mom’s duties as Minister of Magic is attending the cup, which means that me and my family will not only be going, but that we’ll be there for several days.
Dad and Dad have of course lost their mind and are incredibly annoying, expecting all of us to be just as excited as they are, but you know how I feel about Quidditch. Rosalie is thankfully genuinely interested, and Sirius has bought into the hype, so they’re bearing the brunt of the enthusiasm.
Since we’ll be gone for so long, I’m allowed to bring a friend, so if you want to spend the last weekend of the summer before 7th year with me and my family in Norway, I’d love to have you.
My parents all attended the last cup in 1994, and even mom says that it was amazing.
If you had enough of me in July, I’ll understand, and I’ll see you in September!
