Summary
Jason wants to break up for the summer. Just the summer, he says, because he’s going to sleep-away camp and he doesn’t want to feel like he’s tied down. That’s how he says it—tied down. As if Chrissy’s ever been his tether. As if he won’t come home in eight weeks and expect to find her just as he left her, untouched and unsullied. Because what their breakup actually means is that Jason is allowed to have a guilt-free summer and Chrissy is allowed to wait patiently for his return.
(So, like, obviously she’s going to let Eddie Munson finger her if he wants to.)
