When Shikako was reincarnated into the universe of Naruto, her soul had been imprinted on a body that had neither chakra nor wings. When she was born to Shikaku and Yoshino Nara, twin sister to Shikamaru Nara, she was diagnosed with chakra hypersensitivity due her mind being hyper aware of the effectively second set of veins in her body carrying an unknown substance throughout her body like ants marching beneath her skin. Worst still, she could feel it all around her in the air and it would be many months and years before she would grow acclimated to the feeling of it all.
To add onto the worries of her family, she had been born with incredibly dense bones wholly opposite to the hollow pneumatic bones necessary for allowing the feathered wings of all people of this world to be capable of flight. Her soul had been shocked not only by the introduction of chakra in an unfamiliar body but also by the new limbs and bones of this world, creating a rebound effect leaving her with bones denser and thus heavier than all those around her.
Finally, to add onto her troubles, she had been born with the mammalian wings of a bat so unlike all feathered limbs of the people of this world. While rumors of adultery had been quickly squashed not only by the clan head himself and all the medical staff that had directly observed the twin births and DNA testing, rumors of the child's still spread. A bad omen, many uttered in fear of what could cause such an aberration. A good omen, others muttered, making connections between the shadow affinity of the Nara clan and their contracts with their bat summons. More still simply reacted with curiosity or revulsion, preferring to ignore or simply put no weight on the more spiritual postulations, borne from the simple fact that this child was so wholly different from everyone else around her.
In summary, Shikako Nara had been born a chakra hypersensitive, heavy, and aberrant individual to a family that loved her regardless. That said, none held hope for any sort of ninja career beyond herself and the simple determination to fly alongside her brother for the simple joy of wind beneath her wings and the fear of an approaching future filled with war and devastation.
