Summary
"On November 21st, 2001, a monument was erected at the entrance to a certain seaside cave. After the traps and Inferi were cleared out by teams of curse breakers and Aurors, muggle-repelling wards placed, and speeches made (including one by our very own Harry J. Potter), the memorial was dedicated to the life of Regulus Arcturus Black (January 29th, 1961 - November 21st, 1979) and the other “unsung heroes of the fight against the Dark Lord Voldemort”, on the anniversary of Black’s death.
Cousin of the deceased, socialite Narcissa Malfoy (recently released from a two-year sentence in Azkaban prison), was seen at the ceremony with a single tear rolling down her cheek. See page 6 for a more detailed account of the memorial unveiling."
- P. Blotting, The Daily Prophet
What makes a martyr and what makes a monster? Is it possible, then, to be both?
And what, exactly, counts as redemption?
Journey into the mind of Regulus Black: friend, brother, cousin, straight-O student, pureblood supremacist, and teenage Death Eater... who sacrificed his life for a chance to save Wizarding Britain.
This is not going to go the way you think.

Summary
The Interview scene, if Anastasia Steele was a conspiracy theorist and the savior of the world. Suddenly, the flu is a Russian bioweapon, sexism is an alien conspiracy to weaken humanity, and the secretaries of Grey Enterprises are androids in the shape of Stepford blondes.
Oh, and the CEO is a traitor to humanity who must die.
Suffice it to say, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey were not having the same conversation.

Note: in defense of my street cred, I read the existentially horrifying source material as a teenager who knew exactly two things about the book: 1) that it started as Twilight fanfiction and 2) the title. I am in no way advocating for the work in question.
You do not have to have read the source material to understand this. In fact, it is recommended that you don't.

Or, Karura learns of her canon fate after Shukaku is sealed into her unborn child. She is a woman, a soldier, but above all, a survivor.

Summary
Ned speaks the sacred words of House Bolton, and tells the boy of what his bastard brother would have done. Tells the boy of the wars to come, and that he has sought House Bolton’s aid in the coming conflict. Tells the boy what he and his father have plotted, to ensure that future never comes to pass.
(In which Eddard Stark receives a vision, and promptly yeets his backyard sociopath at the political nightmare that is King's Landing so he can deal with magic zombies in peace. This mostly works, except where it doesn't.)

Summary
"I've earned myself a reputation / That my bark is much worse than my bite / But I keep snapping at Goliath's hands / With all of my tiny might." - The Crane Wives, 'Take Me to War'.
“My Khal,” says Mirri, peering up at him, squinting in the dark to make out the lines of his face, the slope of his broad shoulders, his hands clenched at his side, “and if I must choose between the mother and the child?”
He steps towards her, then, and she falls back with silent terror for an instant. But he does not seize her, only grinds out, “Save my son. He is the Stallion-Who-Mounts-the-World. He will rule the great Grass Sea and the stones of the West.”
Ah, she thinks. And such hope I had for you, Drogo. But there is nothing. You are no shepherd, not even to a single lamb. You are the wolf, or better yet, the wild dog, and there is nothing in you but howling greed.
