Chapter Text
Ever since you'd gotten into UA, you were as happy as can be. Attending the greatest hero school in Japan was nothing short of an achievement. It was something you'd always be grateful for, along with your parents' support and sacrifice. They gave everything for you to get into this school, including sending you off on your own. You knew this was their big leap of faith, to let you move on your own to Musutafu, where UA resides. And you wouldn't let them down, not after they had dedicated so much time and money to your hero and combat training.
But even all that training couldn't prepare you for the excitement of standing in front of UA's gates. It seemed so surreal. It made everything feel worth it. All those late nights training, missing your own birthday, those times when you trained your quirk so hard you felt like you were dying. It all came to fruition.
You held back tears of joy as you stepped through the gates.
'UA here I come-'
Your legs gave way as a broad shoulder knocked into you, knocking everything in your hands to the floor. A glare appeared on your face as you looked up to see who had bumped you. "Seriously, do you not have eyes or some..."
The words slipped from your tongue as a sparkling face came into view. Your expression softened as you stared into two-toned eyes; one turquoise the other grey. The grey eye had a large red scar over it, which made you feel kind of sad at what could've caused such an ugly scar. Though the large scar didn't take from his attractiveness. You had never seen a boy this.. pretty. There was no other way to describe it.
"Don’t blame me for your idiocy." You blinked as your fantasy of the boy standing in front of you faded. You stood to your feet as you tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe you had misheard.
"Sorry" You looked at him curiously, wondering if everyone attending UA would be this attractive.
"I mean you were the one standing in the middle of a walkway staring into absolutely nothing, and you want to blame me for an incident caused by your misdoings?" His face was laced with utter indifference while he talked. You scoffed. Was this guy for real. A glowing anger started in your eyes. There was no way he saying this was your fault.
"You're kidding right. Even if I was standing in the way, does that give you the right to knock me over?" His eyes looked at you with a hint of irritation. You glared at him with contempt. Everything you'd thought about him before you take it back, instantly.
"Any decent human being would just apologize for bumping into someone instead of insulting them. Or are you that just that much of a jerk." Your eyes widened as you realized your words. You let your anger control you said too much. You called him a jerk, that was way too harsh. 'These damned emotions.' Your eyes looked up at his expression, although he had kept a pretty stoic face, you could tell he had been taken back by your words. Was he offended?
You heard a scoff before the boy started speaking.
"Do people really have to accommodate for your absentmindedness, seriously do you only think of yourself?" Your guilt had completely faded, he was a jerk. Your fist balled up and you knew it would be hard to hold back before you exploded. "I'm surprised that UA accepts people that can't even take responsibility for their own incompetence."
"You-" He walked away before you could even respond, but maybe that was for the best. The way you were going, if he was there for a second longer, you would've punched him square in the face. Did you mention that your temper was as short as a t-rex's arms?
You followed him with your eyes as you tried to forget your conversation. UA was a big school, hopefully, you wouldn't have to see him ever again. Because if you did, you didn't know what you'd do.
Taking in deep breaths, you bent down and picked up everything you'd dropped when you'd fallen. You pulled out your phone from your pocket and soon realized you had 2 minutes until the first bell went and had no idea where you were supposed to go. You felt a blood vessel pop. The jerk should be praying you don't see him again, cause of the things you would do to him.
You huffed as you stood in front of the door of class 1-A. With the use of your quirk, you had barely managed to beat the bell. You calmed your nerves and regulated your breathing before you opened the door. Instantly a bunch of new faces entered your view and you felt so excited to meet everyone. However, you were cut short when a yellow human caterpillar crawled to the front of the classroom.
You stared in confusion before you found yourself to a seat at the back of the class. You were even more weirded out when the caterpillar turned out to be your teacher. Well, it was the school with the best hero course so it was bound to be abnormal. You turned to look at your seat mate totally oblivious to the set of heterochromatic eyes burning into you until you locked eyes with them.
You flinched from surprise as you took in his red and white hair and piercing eyes again. That jerk was in the hero course and on top of that in your class. A burning red fury rose in your stomach as the shock faded. You clenched your fists under your desk, feeling a burn in your palms as you pressed harder.
Then you remembered something. You had seen his face before, in a news magazine.
'Pro-Hero Endeavour's son was born not only with his father's intense flames but also with a powerful ice quirk. Shoto Todoroki, the future of the hero society.'
He was his son. Of course. It only made sense that Pro-Hero Endeavour's son was just as much of an asshole as he was.
Now you knew for sure that you hated Shoto Todoroki.
