Summary
Having discovered the existence of vampires through clues surrounding his “grandfather” (or more accurately, age-old ancestor) Watari, L eagerly decides to explore the old man’s social network and fatefully ends up at odds with a highly respected figure in both the supernatural and mundane world: Light Yagami.
When Light’s blood supplier comes up short for longer than the vampire’s cravings can handle, both men decide to put a pause on their petty fights and make a deal, trading L’s blood for various probing tests on Light in the name of science.
Yet things take a sharp turn just one bite in, and suddenly Light can hardly stand to taste anyone else, just the way L’s body seems to ache in return with a heat only simmered by his touch alone.
