First-time poster, long-time lurker.
So, I (46,m but got called younger on my good days ;)) live in a small town. We have a pretty tight-knit community, although we have some "mold" problems. Anyways our village Leader Mother M (age not important, f) came back with a child. Never really explained where she got it though I later found out it was basically kidnapped from someone (not the worst that can happen, around here). I was told to "partially" watch the little girl.
Turns out Daddy dearest E (37,m) was not too happy about, which was great news to me. As he was pissed at M and I was pissed at M, we would have made the best buddy cop duo, could've gotten her own and made some jokes or something together maybe made out, got marr- I am getting off track.
BUT NO, he was pissy that I suggested raising his daughter little R together as a weapon to destroy M. R is a special child and could've helped us a shit ton but NO. E called me an asshole and refused to work with me. So I pushed him down a ventilation shaft and he kept calling me an asshole.
So Am I the Asshole for suggesting to team up and helping to raise his little "ball of joy"?
