Don't Fuck With Yeonjun

Summary:

Choi Soobin was the leader of the top gang around. He wasn't typically a violent leader, he'd rather keep things as peaceful as he could. Very few things could trigger him. However, if there was one thing that would always trigger him, it would be fucking with Yeonjun. If anyone dared lay a finger on his beloved, they would pay the consequences.

So, when Yeonjun gets jumped by a new gang in town, you better believe all hell breaks loose. The hell known as Soobin's rage.

Chapter Text

Yeonjun and Soobin. The power couple at Hybe University. Everyone knew about them, but there was also something no one knew. No matter how introverted he may seem, no matter how shy and passive he may be, Soobin was the leader of a gang with Yeonjun as his right-hand man.

The only ones who knew of Yeonjun and Soobin’s identity were those in his gang and those of other gangs. And there was also a rule everyone knew. Never. Fuck. With. Yeonjun.

Even those outside of gangs knew that. Whenever someone would hurt Yeonjun in any way shape or form, they would mysteriously either disappear or not come to school for weeks at a time.

However, it seems like not everyone knew that rule after all.

It was the end of the day and Soobin and Yeonjun were walking out of their last class together. The plan was for them to go ahead and study at Soobin’s house since finals were coming up. Fuck finals. Even gang leaders couldn’t get out of them. They were just about to head out when they felt a disturbance. A very loud disturbance.

“SUP BITCHES!”

Suddenly someone jumped on them from behind, one of their arms around Soobin while the other was around Yeonjun.

“Ah, Beomgyu why are you always so loud?” Yeonjun whined, leaning his head away from the younger.

“Because. Now shut up, I’m not here for you.” Beomgyu said,

“What, why?” Yeonjun asked, narrowing his eyes at him

“Because you’re not important.” He said, pushing away Yeonjun and stepping between them to face the leader. “So, Soobin, have you heard?”

“Heard what?” Soobin asked, chuckling as Yeonjun glared at Beomgyu.

“About the new forming gang, duh.” The younger replied like he was stating the obvious.

Next thing you know Beomgyu is whining because he got slapped upside the head by Soobin, who was not happy with him. “You dumbass, we aren’t out of the school yet. We all know to not talk about gang stuff here.” He whisperer-yelled at him.

“Ow! Okay okay, I was just wondering damn.” Beomgyu said, holding his head as he pouted.

“You should still know better you fucking idiot, you’ve been here long enough.” Yeonjun scolded.

“You stay out of this you pillow princess!” Beomgyu yelled, turning to Yeonjun.

“What the hell?” Yeonjun asked, completely confused by the so-called insult. “That was not necessary.”

“Okay, what is going on over here? We can literally hear you guys across the hall.” A new voice said, walking over to the trio.

“Just the usual Taehyun.” Soobin told him, sighing at the two bickering.

“What are you guys even talking about anyway.” Huening Kai said, walking next to Taehyun.

“The new gang in town.” Beomgyu said, completely ignoring the previous warnings.

Yeonjun’s eyes widened as he slapped his hand over the other’s mouth, holding him with a death grip. “If you can’t shut your mouth I will shut it for you.”

Soobin sighs and shakes his head as they walk out of the school. “Whatever, let’s just go to my house.”

Everyone agreed to the plan as they began walking in that direction, Yeonjun shoving Beomgyu so he could take his place next to Soobin again.

“So, you never did answer my question. Do you know about the new gang?” Beomgyu asked the leader.

“Hm, oh yeah of course I do.” Soobin hummed, reaching for Yeonjun’s hand.

“Soooooo, what are you gonna do?” Taehyun asked.

“What? Nothing. I’m not going to start shit that doesn’t need to be started. We’ll keep our eyes on them, and if they make a move first then we’ll make ours.” Soobin said. Yes, he was a gang leader, but that didn’t mean he just likes all hell to break loose and start fights everywhere. His brother taught him better than that. Just stick to your own and go with the flow.

“Ugh you’re just like your brother.” Beomgyu whined, throwing his head back. “I wanna fight some bitches.”

“Shut up Beomgyu, Soobin’s right and you know he is. We don’t start the fight, but we’ll sure as hell end it. It’s how we’ve stayed around so long and been able to stay at the top.” Kai told him ‘as a matter of factly’.

“Whatever.” Beomgyu sighed, still wanting to punch people.

“You have issues man.” Taehyun said, side-eyeing the older.

“I know.” Was the only response Beomgyu gave him.

“Oh guys, I gotta go pick up Bahiyyih from school, sorry.” Kai said, stopping in his tracks and turning to go the other way. “I’ll see you guys later!” He yelled, waving goodbye.

“Shit we forgot about Heeseung!” Taehyun yelled, realizing that he too forgot about someone.

“Oh dammit not again!” Beomgyu exclaimed.

“Sorry guys, we promised Heeseung we’d meet up after class was out, we’ll catch up with you guys later.” Taehyun explained, grabbing Beomgyu’s wrist as they fled the scene.

Soobin stood in silence for a moment, processing the randomness of his children. “Well, I guess it’s just the two of us again.”

“Well, about that.” Yeonjun said as he nervously laughed.

“Oh come on, why are all of your abandoning me?” Soobin groaned, sulking at his older boyfriend.

“Babe I’m not abandoning you.” Yeonjun said and laughed, wrapping his arms around the taller’s neck and having to stretch his arms to be able to hold him properly. Damn him for being so tall. “I’m just hungry, do you want your princess to starve?” He asked, pouting his lips.

“Okay, we have food at the house.” Soobin said, holding onto Yeonjun’s waist.

“Yeah, but not good food.”

“Hey!” Soobin exclaimed, offended by the older. “I like my food.”

“Well I don’t, I am a queen who deserves top-tier food.”

“So convenience store food?”

“Exactly.”

Soobin rolled his eyes at the dramatic man, laughing quietly. “Fine, fine. I’ll just go with you.”

“No, you’re going to go home and I'll be there in about ten minutes.” Yeonjun said, not making it a choice for Soobin.

“Yeonjun, you know how I feel about you going out places alone. We’re both aware of how high gang activity is here.” Soobin insisted. He never liked the idea of Yeonjun going out alone. Yeonjun knows how to fight sure, but only one or two people at a time. They’re a gang for a reason, so they could back each other up.

Soobin’s high ranking in his group gave him plenty of enemies and many people who would do anything to get to him. It took a long time for Yeonjun to even convince him to let their relationship go public for that specific reason.

“Babe, you’re worrying too much. It’s like ten minutes from your house.” Yeonjun said, holding Soobin’s cheeks. “I’ll be fine. Go home. I’ll be there soon.” He said, reaching up and giving him a quick kiss.

“Hyung…” Soobin still didn’t like the idea of him going alone, but he knew Yeonjun wouldn’t let him. Sure he could just ignore the older and go with him anyway, but that would start a fight he didn’t feel like having. “Fine, but promise me you’ll call me if you see anything or anyone suspicious.”

“Okay okay, I will, I promise.” Yeonjun said, rolling his eyes. But he couldn’t deny that he loved Soobin’s protectiveness. It was so sweet and kinda hot sometimes.

“Yeonjun.” Soobin said, tilting his head to the side and looking down at him.

“I said I will gosh.” Yeonjun said, sighing as he let go of Soobin.

“I hate you sometimes.”

“That’s not what you said last night! Haha, see ya!” Yeonjun yelled, running away before he could get hit.

“You bitch!”

Yeonjun laughed as he ran away, heading to the nearest store to pick up some snacks. Luckily it didn’t take too long to get there. It didn’t seem too busy either, so hopefully he’d be able to keep his word and be back to Soobin by ten minutes.

He knew where he was going as he’d been to the same store many times, so it was pretty easy for him to get in and out pretty quickly. However, something seemed off when he walked out of the store. Call it a sixth sense. He felt like he was being watched, and the air was heavy. Something wasn’t right here.

As promised, he casually got out his phone from his back pocket. He tried to make it look as natural as possible. Though, he wasn’t able to succeed in this. He ‘accidentally’ bumped into someone and his phone got knocked out of his hands.

“Hey, watch it.” Yeonjun snapped, looking up at whoever he ran into.

It was a decent-sized guy, a little shorter than Soobin but his muscles made up for it. “Oh yeah? Who were you trying to call? Your boyfriend? Or I guess I should say your boss, shouldn’t I, Yeonjun?”

Yeonjun narrowed his eyes at him, his body tensing up. “How do you - oh fuck…”

This guy was definitely part of some sort of gang. From the way he talked, and presented himself, everything screamed gang. But he wasn’t someone Yeonjun recognized. “You’re part of the new group around here aren’t you?”

“Well look at that, seems like the top dogs have heard of us. We should feel honored.” The man said and snickered.

“Okay first of all, never say that again.” Yeonjun said, cringing at the phrase. “And second of all, yeah, you guys don’t really try to hide yourselves, so of course people know of you.”

“Well of course, gotta start out strong to make your way to the top don’t you?”

Yeonjun sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “You newbies don’t know shit. Can we get this over with already? I have hot food here.”

It was just one guy, Yeonjun could easily handle this. It’s not like he was completely defenseless after all.

“You sure do have a smart mouth on you don’t you?” A voice said from behind.

“What the fu-” Yeonjun turned around to see who came up behind him, but was cut off shortly by a punch straight to the face.

He felt the knuckle hit his nose and took a few steps back, holding his now bleeding nose. Yeonjun sighed deeply, closing his eyes for a moment. Now he wasn’t a little bitch, he could handle a punch. Sure it hurt, but he’s had much worse.

“Okay, so that’s how it’s gonna be? Gonna fight dirty?” Yeonjun questioned, his tone of voice becoming increasingly darker as his eyes began to harden. This wasn’t gonna be good for either party.

Yeonjun grabbed the man’s jacket and pushed him back, pinning him against the nearest wall. He brought his fist back as he prepared to hit him twice as hard. He was gonna make sure it hurt. However, he was cut off once again by a kick to the back of his knees that forced him to the ground.

“Not so tough without your little bodyguard around are you? I expected more.” Another new voice spoke, amusement clear in his voice.

Wait, another new voice? Oh fuck.

Yeonjun looked around him, and dammit, this certainly wasn’t going to end well. It was five-on-one.

If there was a definition of playing dirty, this would be it.

Yeonjun was completely defenseless at the moment, not having any weapons, backup, or way to call for help. The most he could do was fight back the best he could and try to avoid any major injuries.

“The hell do you guys want anyway? What? Just trying to make a point?” Yeonjun questioned, pushing himself up a bit

“You know what, you’re asking too many questions. Maybe you should try shutting your mouth.” One of the men said, delivering a hard kick to Yeonjun’s face. The force of the kick was hard enough to send Yeonjun right back to flat on the ground.

But there was no time for his brain to catch up before he felt another kick to his ribs, knocking the air out of Yeonjun as he hissed in pain. Yeah, that might be broken.

“What? Ain’t got more shit to say?!” One yelled, grabbing Yeonjun’s hair and pulling his head up before slamming it back on the ground. “That’s what I fucking thought bitch.”

“Such a shame, you had a pretty face too.” One of them hummed, trailing their finger across Yeonjun’s jawline.

Yeonjun glared at the man, using his elbow to push away the man’s hand. “Don’t fucking touch me.” He growled, his eyes burning with fire.

“Oh so the bitch still has some bite in him? We’re gonna have to fix that.”

“You know what to do.” One of the men told someone.

The next thing Yeonjun knew, he was being hoisted off the ground by his hair, forced to his feet. His back was facing one of the guys being held from behind. His hands were held behind his back with one hand as his hair was being held with the other.

“Perfect.”

Yeonjun was hit from many different angles, being hit in the ribs, face, legs, anywhere really. He’d become a human punching bag. Blood being spilled from several points of his body, dozens of wounds and bruises already forming. But that still wasn’t the worst thing that was going to happen to him today.

“What do you say we step it up a notch boys?” The seeming leader said, holding out his hand as one of the others put something in it.

“You see, lucky for you we have no intention of killing you. No, we have a specific job for you.” He said, smirking as he popped the blade out.

“You’re going to be our message.”

Yeonjun cried out in pain as he felt the knife being dragged against his side, not too deep, but deep enough for it to start oozing out blood.

“Whoops, sorry, got a little too knife happy there.” He said as he laughed, dragging the knife to Yeonjun’s other side.

Yeonjun’s cries got louder as the knife was pressed in deeper, the man literally carving a symbol into his skin. It seemed like it dragged out forever. He could feel every inch of the knife being pushed into his skin, every time it moved and sliced him open more.

“Alright, that’s good.” One said, putting his hand on the guy’s shoulder. “We don’t want him to bleed out, we need him alive.”

“Aw damn it, but I was just starting to really enjoy it.”

The grip on Yeonjun was released, the older male fell to the ground instantly. He didn’t have any strength left to stand, his legs felt like pure jellow. The pain was almost unbearable, but he had no choice but to fight through it and stay conscious.

“Too bad, we’re done here. Just leave him. I think Dongho will be happy enough.”

And just like that, it was over. They left and everything went quiet. Yeonjun tried to control his breathing, but it was impossible. He took quick and staggered breaths, every movement hurting worse than the last. It was a type of pain you felt would never end and you’d do anything to stop it. But he knew he couldn’t just sit here and wallow, he had to do something.

Every little movement hurt like hell, just moving his arms to push himself up felt like dying would be better. But he had to get to his phone. If he could just get there, then it would be okay. All he has to do…is get there.

Yeonjun slowly rolled over into a position that was easier to manage, stopping to take a deep breath. Lots of breaks were going to be needed.

Every few inches he moved he had to stop and catch his breath, letting the pain die down a bit before continuing.

It took a lot longer than he thought and longer than he’d care to admit, but he was eventually able to reach his phone.

Now, who could he call? He certainly did not want to call Soobin and he didn’t want Soobin to know either. He couldn’t bring himself to let Soobin see him like this. It would break the younger and send him over a cliff there was no coming back from. He knew exactly what Soobin would do, and he can’t let that happen. Not yet at least.

Not like he could call anyone from his own gang either though. Any one of them would snitch on him to Soobin, and even if they didn’t, if Soobin found out they lied or kept this from him they’d probably be killed. Literally. Soobin was surprisingly terrifying at times. Who woulda guessed it?

His only choice was to call someone outside their gang, someone they were allied with. Luckily, thanks to Soobin's level-headedness they had a decent amount of allies. Though he still had to be careful with his selection. Who to choose….? Someone who could keep shit to themselves and shut their mouth, but would still help him.

Wooyoung? No way, that bitch never shuts up.

Changbin? That’s a fifty-fifty shot.

Yeosang? Now he might actually be a good person to call. He keeps to himself outside his gang, but is still friendly and willing to help. He’d have no reason to go to Soobin. Right?

Yeonjun shakily dialed Yeosang’s number, waiting for him to answer.

“Come on Yeosang…please answer…” Yeonjun said to himself quietly.

Luckily after a few rings, he heard a voice on the other line. “Hello? Yeonjun?”

“Come get me, explain later. Near the convenience store by the school.” Yeonjun said, his voice strained as he tried his best to stay conscious. The pain made both his mind and body exhausted.

“O…kay I guess?” Yeosang said, his voice higher pitched in confusion. ”Yeonjun? You there?”

But there was no response.

“Wake up….

…..Yeonjun!”

Yeonjun groaned as he slowly opened his eyes, the pain immediately spreading through his body. “Fuck…” He hissed in pain, glancing up to find Yeosang in front of him.

“Dude you got fucked up.” Yeosang said bluntly.

Yeonjun narrowed his eyes at him, resting his head on the ground. “No shit. Just take me home please.” Huh. The ground felt kinda softer than usual.

“Yeonjun. You’re already home dumbass. I used your keys that were in your pocket.” Yeosang said, reaching his arms out to help the other sit up.

“Oh shit…thanks. I’m sorry, I’m still outta it.” Yeonjun said, gripping onto Yeosang’s wrists. “Fuck! Yeah no, moving hurts just let me lay here.” He said, his eyes closed in pain as he laid back down.

“Yeah about that, mind telling me what happened to you?” Yeosang asked, sitting on the edge of the bed with some medical supplies.

“The fuck’s it look like, I got jumped.”

“Well, it looks like you got your ass whopped.” Yeosang said, applying some rubbing alcohol on Yeonjun’s wounds.

“You try taking five guys on at once.” Yeonjun whined, not thinking of his choice of words. “Wait, don’t take that out of context man.”

Yeosang stifled a laugh as he got some bandages out. “Too late man. Damn, I should’ve recorded that. Some good-ass blackmail right there. Coulda sent that shit to Soobin."

Soobin.

He must be worried sick. Oh god, he’s probably already sent out a whole-ass search party and going all over the place looking for him.

"Phone, where’s my phone?" Yeonjun asked hurriedly, rushing to sit up no matter the pain.

"On the dresser? I'll get it, everything good man?" Yeosang asked, confused at the sudden worry of the younger’s phone.”Bitch sit the fuck down, I’ve got your phone right here.”

No. Everything was not good. He told Soobin he'd only be out for ten minutes, he didn’t even know what time it was. Oh shit, what time was it?

If the universe didn't hate Yeonjun enough, if as on cue his phone started ringing as Yeosang was about to set it down closer to the other.

"It’s Soobin, want me to answer it?"

No.

No no no no no no.

Of all the time why now does he have to call? He can't exactly ignore it, that'll just worry the latter even more. But he doesn't exactly want Soobin to know what happened yet. At least after Yeonjun’s healed some more that way he can stop. Shit, what was he gonna do? What was he gonna say? He had to give some sort of reason why he was gone. Okay, what lie would he say? Maybe the line was long. Even though Soobin probably already looked at the area. Maybe he got lost? Even though it was only a five-minute walk. Maybe.

“Hey dude what’s up?”

FUCK WHY YEOSANG YOU NOSY WHORE WHY ARE YOU ANSWERING OTHER PEOPLE’S CALLS

“What’s up? What’s up is the fact that my boyfriend has been missing for hours and now you’re answering his phone. Why do you have it? Is he there? Is he okay? What the hell even happened?”

Yeonjun could just barely hear Soobin’s voice from his phone as he usually had his volume up pretty loud. He felt his heart break, Soobin obviously sounded worried and distraught. Soobin was someone who could never show emotions like this to people, especially outside their gang. If he sounded this worried to Yeosang, Yeonjun can’t imagine how he must actually be feeling.

Yeosang took a look at Yeonjun, reading his facial expression and body language. He sighed before crossing his arms. “His phone died we went to his house to charge it. I was at the same store as him so I went with him to hang out ya know?.”

“What? That literally makes no sense, he was on his way back to my place, which is closer than his. He could’ve just charged it when he got here.”

“Eh. It’s Yeonjun man. He does weird shit. Mans himself doesn’t make sense.”

“Yes I know, but that’s beside the point. Answer my questions. Put Yeonjun on the phone.”

“Ah well, you see, what happened was,”

“Hyung just give it up. Put him on speaker.”

Yeosang nodded and sat on the edge of the bed, putting the phone on speaker and putting it between them.

Yeonjun closed his eyes for a moment, taking in a deep breath as he gathered all of his courage to speak. This wasn’t going to be an easy conversation.

“Yeonjun, baby, are you there?”

Fuck, Soobin. It was real. His voice was so calming and soothing. Even though he was full of worry for the older, he still made sure his voice was smooth and sweet. Like the older was something so delicate and he didn’t wanna scare him off.

“Y-yes Soobin. I’m here.” Yeonjun said. Shit, he could already feel his resolve breaking down. He just wanted his boyfriend here. To hold him and make this all go away.

“Baby. I’m going to ask you this one time. Be honest with me, please. Are you okay?”

Yeonjun felt tears gather in his eyes as he sniffled. He needs to lie, he knows he needs to. But damn it Soobin. “Nooooo, no I’m not.” Yeonjun cried, closing his eyes as he sobbed. “I got jumped by the new gang, please come here Soobin, everything hurts…”

Silence.

Pure, silence.

Never a good sign from a gang leader. Never.

“Baby…” Yeonjun asked, “Are you there…I’m sorry.”

Yeonjun’s mind began spiraling, his vulnerable mindset beginning to show. He made Soobin mad. It was his fault. He never wanted to make Soobin upset, the younger had enough on his plate. Yeonjun didn’t want to add to it.

“Sweetheart, it’s okay. I’m on my way, stay with Yeosang. Don’t worry about a thing, your Binnie will take care of everything, okay? Just stay there, I’ll be there soon.”

Soobin’s voice sounded calm to those who wouldn’t know him. But it wasn’t a comforting type of calmness. It was ‘I’m about to lose my shit’ type of calmness. The type of calmness where you can hear the anger about to boil over, but the person is trying very hard to contain it.

“Okay, please hurry.” Yeonjun said, his voice breaking a little. He hadn’t had any sort of medication, so there was nothing stopping the pain he was in. And damn was he in a lot of pain.

Yeonjun’s house was about twenty minutes from where Yeonjun was found. But damn if Soobin didn’t get there in five.

All they heard was a pounding on the door and a loud voice. “Let me in Yeosang!”

“Welp I can guess who’s here.” Yeosang mumbled, leaving Yeonjun to go open the front door.

“You, me, we’re going to fucking talk later. And you best believe I’m getting Hongjoong involved.” Soobin said, his eyes deadly cold as he shoved his way in. “But for right now, you’re gonna tell me what the hell happened and if you have any information.” Soobin told Yeosang, looking down at him as he breathed heavily. Anyone could see the pent-up rage, but for right now that wasn’t Soobin’s priority. He just needed information and to make sure his lover was okay. He would deal with everything else afterward.

“Oh um. Yeah, yeah sure. So he called me after everything went down, so I went to see him. He didn’t tell me he was hurt, he just told me where he was and then I think that’s when he first blacked out. I got there and picked him up, he was in pretty bad shape. I took him back here so I could give him first aid, I did what I could, but he’s still in a lot of pain. He might need to be hospitalized for proper treatment and testing to make sure his bones are okay. Oh and when I was patching him up I noticed something on his waist. It looks like some sort of symbol, I’m guessing it’s the gang’s symbol. Seems like a message. I did what I could so it wouldn’t scar.” Yeosang hurriedly explained to the taller. Yes Soobin was typically a gentle giant, but shit he could be scary when he wanted. That height alone was intimidating.

Like right now.

Soobin’s fists were clenched so tight you could almost see blood coming out, he was visibly shaking as he tried to hold everything back. His eyes were dark, you could tell all the violent thoughts running through his head.

“Soobin, calm down. Right now Yeonjun needs you. He’s really shaken up. He doesn’t need the murderous gang leader you. He needs his comforting boyfriend. He’s in a vulnerable headspace right now.” Yeosang stated, he wanted to pat him on the shoulder or something, but hell no he wasn’t touching him right now. So he just put his hands up in a defensive manner and tried to calm him down.

“I know you’re right, but don’t think you’re off the hook yet. I’m grateful you were there and you helped him, but I’m still pissed at you as well for not alerting me sooner, and lying to me. I’m still getting Hongjoong involved in this. Now tell me which room Yeonjun’s in.” Soobin said, his eyes pouring into Yeosangs, making the older shiver.

“His room.” Yeosang said shortly, pointing to where the general area where the other was.

As Soobin walked away, Yeosang whispered a single word. “Fuck.” Now he’d have to get scolded by his captain. Not a fun thing.

Soobin gently knocked on the door where Yeonjun was at, not wanting to startle him by suddenly walking in. “Yeonjun, baby, it’s me.” Soobin said, holding the handle and twisting it as he opened the door, making sure to close it behind him.

“Soobin?” Yeonjun questioned quietly, opening his eyes to look at the younger. His eyes immediately filled with more tears as he tried to sit up, holding his arms out to pull him closer. However, pain instantly coursed throughout his entire body, breath hitching as he squeezed his eyes in pain.

“Darling lay back down.” Soobin said, rushing over to sit on the bed, careful not to move it too much. He didn’t know if he could hold the older or not, he didn’t want to hurt him more. He wasn’t sure of the extent of Yeonjun’s injuries and didn’t want to make them worse. So for now, he settled by reaching over and taking Yeonjun’s hand in his, squeezing lightly as he rubbed his thumb over the back of his hand. “I’m here baby, I’m right here. I swear nothing will hurt you anymore.” Soobin said, leaning over to kiss Yeonjun’s forehead. “I promise…I promise…” He whispered.

Yeonjun began crying harder, trying his best to reach up and wrap his arms around Soobin. He just wanted him close. He needed to feel the safety that Soobin always emitted. His large frame always covered his own, made him feel like nothing could come near him. He needed that more than ever.

“I-I’m sorry…I’m so sorry.” Yeonjun cried into Soobin’s shoulder, his whole body shaking and causing himself more pain. “I-I didn’t m-mean to put more s-stress on you..I’m sorry.”

Soobin furrowed his eyebrows, leaning up a bit to look him in eyes. “Sweetheart, what are you sorry for? Don’t you dare apologize for this, nothing was your fault, it was theirs. I never want to hear you apologize for this again. If anything I should be the one who’s sorry. I never should’ve left you alone on that side of town. Even if it made me seem like an asshole I should’ve fought with you and gone with you anyways. But best believe it will never happen again.” Soobin declared, leaning his forehead against Yeonjun’s oh so gently. “But I’m here now, and I promise I’ll make everything better. Binnie will make everything go away, you just relax and focus on healing. Let me take care of everything else.”

Yeonjun began crying once again, but this time, for a different reason. It wasn’t out of fear or guilt, but of pure relief. “Binnie….” He whined, closing his eyes as he just let everything go, Soobin laying right next to him the whole time. He let him get everything he needed out, all the pent up feelings of anxiety, panic, and dread. This whole ordeal had only taken about three to four hours, but it felt like weeks to Yeonjun.

“Yeonjunie, can Binnie ask you some questions?” Soobin asked softly, petting the older’s hair.

Yeonjun nodded a little, his head stuffed in Soobin’s chest.

“Do you know who did this to you? What happened baby? Just take your time, there’s no rush at all. Tell me what you’re comfortable with.” Soobin said, making sure not to overwhelm Yeonjun at the moment. Even though he desperately wanted the information as fast as possible, he needed to confirm that Yeonjun was okay first and assure he didn’t hurt him more.

“T-there was five of them I think. It happened outside the store, it started with one then the others appeared out of nowhere.” Yeonjun started, his grip on Soobin. “They knew who I was and targeted me. All I know is that they’re from the new gang Beomgyu was talking about, and that they mentioned the name Dongho, I’m guessing that’s the leader or at least someone highly ranked. They want the top spot and said I was a message to you.”

“Well. I got their message. Let’s see how they like my response.”

TWO MORE PARTS ON THE WAY VERY SHORTLY
