Phoenix Wright won his first case, and Mia kind of wants to hug him. She doesn’t do that (he’s her employee after all) but she is so proud of him. Mia can’t help but smile as Wright talks to his client (she can’t remember his name, but she wants to say… Harry?), still amazed that he turned the case around and saved his client.
Defense attorneys almost never win their cases (even Mia can only count on two hands the amount of ‘not guilty’ verdicts she managed since she got her badge), so for Phoenix to win his first case is incredibly impressive. Yeah, he sweated and fumbled and needed prompting from Mia, but in the end, he got his client a ‘not guilty’ verdict and found the true culprit at the same time.
Something tells her that Phoenix will go far. And Mia wants to be by his side as he grows into the incredible lawyer she knows he will become.
(But only a few hours later, a blow to the head kills Mia’s plan alongside her.)
