"Loosen up," he whispered. "Listen to the music. The instruments are telling you what to do. Hear their instructions and let your body align with the rhythm."
He tried, stepping back and forth, to hear the beat and adjust.
"Just close your eyes and listen. There's no pressure, there's no rules, there's just the music."

Miles, who loves a lazy Sunday morning, is motivated by Phoenix to be productive and clean around the house. The couple end up getting distracted by a really good song.

Summary
Phoenix buried his face in the crook of Miles's neck, kissing his shoulder and letting it linger as he spoke. "Morning. How are you feeling?"
"I'm doing--" He coughed, "I'm doing fine. I woke up slightly more tired than usual, though."
As if the world was specifically trying to prove him wrong, he broke into a coughing fit once again, nearly dropping his cup in the process.
"You were saying?"

Summary
The synonymity of Phoenix with terminus is a terrifying thing. Something earth-shattering. The ache is felt in the very core of Miles’ body. Under his flesh, deeply embedded in his bone marrow. He is always a careful traveler, eyes keen like a lamb’s horizontal, prey eyes whenever he takes a step out in public.
He is not scared of returning to Phoenix.
He is, however, scared of everyone else knowing their inextricability, the implications bleeding past the personal and into the legal system they’ve been swallowed in.
Or, Miles and Phoenix's precariousness throughout the Dark Age of Law. What does it mean to go beyond the narrative of the legal system?

“They’re good to me here.” He smiled at Miles dumbly, like it was an honest mistake to find him here. He coughed a bit and sniffled, rubbing his face roughly.
Miles held out his handkerchief, an invitation for Phoenix to take it. Instead, the man leaned over it. Spat.
Miles tried not to grimace. He folded it primly and stuffed it into Phoenix’s hoodie pocket.
“Getting a bit frisky there, are we?” He smirked. This close, the smell increased in intensity.
Miles hooked an arm around him and pulled, “we’re leaving.”
