Nick was nervous it was his first date with Charlie one on one without their friends there. He was just taking Charlie to a cafe and hopefully Charlie will like it.
He was wearing his best shirt and his nicest jeans and he thought he looked good. Now he will walk to Charlie to peak him up.
Charlie was nervous he and Nick were going out on a date. He was not sure if he looked good. He wanted to look his best for Nick so that Nick will not regret asking him out on a date. Charlie really liked nick and he knows Nick likes him but he still wants to make a good impression on him. Charlie looks in the mirror and plays with his hair fixing it when he hears the doorbell ring.
Charlie opens the door and there is Nick standing. He looks so good. He just wants to kiss him. Charlie goes to Nick and kisses him. The kiss is chaste and sweet.
“You look great,” Nick said.
Charlie giggled and looks down smiling shyly at Nick.
“You look amazing Nick,” Charlie said breathlessly.
Nick holds Charlie in his arms and hugs him close. They are just standing there in each other’s arms taking each other in.
Nick takes Charlie hand and holds it in his own.
“Come on we are going to a cafe I know how much you love your coffee,” Nick said.
Nick and Charlie walk hand in hand to the cafe and just enjoy walking and talking about whatever comes up it’s so natural to talk to Nick it’s like they were meant to be. It’s so easy it’s like they are best friends as well as boyfriends.
When they make it to the cafe Nick holds the door open for Charlie.
“I’ll get the first round what do you want?” Charlie asks.
“Something as dark and bitter as my soul,” Nick said.
Charlie goes to the till to order their drinks. An americano for himself and a cinnamon vanilla latte for Nick since Nick is a cinnamon roll. When the drinks are ready he brings them to the table. Charlie hand’s Nick the drink and Nick takes a sip out of it.
“Cinnamon vanilla latte I love it,” Nick said.
“Your soul reminds me of that so I thought that you would enjoy it,” Charlie said.
“Thanks char I love it,” Nick said.
Nick takes Charlie hand and the two of them talk and hold hands as they drink their coffees. It’s so easy Nick and Charlie have the friendly flirty banter down to a t. They know exactly what to say to each other. Charlie does not know why he was so nervous this is so easy it’s just them in their own bubble where they can just be themselves with each other. Charlie thinks he is so lucky to have Nick as a boyfriend.
“Char I’m so lucky to have you as a boyfriend you know exactly what to bring me and know exactly what to say. I am my best version of me when I’m with you,” Nick said.
Charlie blushes and squeezes Nick hand and holds it to his mouth and kisses it. He did not know how Nick knew what he was thinking but they were both lucky to have each other.
“Nick thank you for bringing me here it’s exactly what I needed and it really takes the pressure off for first alone dates. It’s nice being on a date just us. We should definitely do this again,” Charlie said.
“I would be happy to do this any time Charlie. I love spending time with you,” Nick said.
Nick and Charlie smile at each other and just look at each other the rest of the evening as they sip their coffees and just bask in being in each other’s company. As first solo dates it goes well for both of them.
