    Ilya blinks. “What’s wrong? Is something on my face?”

    Shane shakes his head really slowly and his expression is- of awe?

    “No.” Shane mumbles, eyes wide and he looks slightly crazed.

    Ilya realizes that it must be anesthetics that are making him loopy. “God, you are so gorgeous.”

    That startles a laugh out of Ilya, and he covers his mouth in disbelief. “I’m what?”

    “Gorgeous.” Shane repeats very seriously; it comes out a bit slurred with all the cotton in his mouth.

    - The one where Shane has to get emergency wisdom teeth surgery and forgets who Ilya is.

    But Ilya’s not here.

    And Shane is bored.

    Shane sighed with relief as the doors of the elevator closed. Whoever was in the hall probably didn’t see him. He would figure out how to move past the humiliation of sending that text message to Ilya. But first, he needed to get back to the safety of his hotel room. 

    “That was close,” Shane murmured to himself and slumped against the wall. 

    The doors of the elevator opened again. 

    Shane straightened at the sight of Ilya Rozanov, wearing nothing but an unbuttoned pair of slacks, his golden chain, and a phone in his hand. 

    [OR Ilya realized he made a mistake letting Shane go after their hookup in Vegas. As he's rushing to find Shane, he receives a text message from Shane that reads: We didn’t even kiss.]

    “Just-” Ilya starts, intending to tease, the offer of a massage more about getting Hollander back in a more relaxed headspace than anything else, but then the wire-tight tension in the muscles under his fingers registers, and he frowns, pressing testingly before making a noise of disapproval. “Fuck, Hollander, you are secretly doing crime or what?”

    “What?” Hollander asks, confused, starting to lift his head before Ilya pushes it back down absently, focused now on feeling out the knots Hollander seems to be completely made of. He’s felt tension in Hollander’s shoulders before, usually during coaxing little squeezes while coaching him through learning how to deep throat, but he’s always written it off as nerves from learning something new.

    Now he wonders if Hollander is just nerves, period.

    (the "ilya massages shane" fic inspired by hudson saying that playing shane made him sore because he was so tense all the time)

    Except Shane accidentally, drunkenly, outs himself to the Montreal Metros at the end of the season. Who are not as okay with it as Shane would have hoped.

    AKA the most eventful Canada Day that the MLH has ever seen.
