Work Text:
It was late when my phone screen wakes up, lighting a part of my room for a brief second. Obviously, I was still awake mixing my songs. Glancing at my screen I saw a tinder notification. I rolled my eyes. This whole thing was dumb. Mere days ago, Jesse had practically ambushed me talking about how I needed to have my own life without him, suddenly claiming that I had no other friends in my life besides him.
"What's your body count?" He had suddenly asked, making my brows furrow.
What?! "It's none of your business" I countered. He remained quiet for a moment then nodded.
"Judging by how defensive you just got, I can assume it's not very many." He then adds, "But lucky for you women also find inexperience sexy!"
I quickly yanked off one of my shoes and threw it at him, aiming at his head but somehow I missed. Next thing you know he's downloading Tinder onto my phone, saying everyone had it and that I was bound to get laid this weekend. I rolled my eyes.
"You're such a guy. What does hooking up have to do with me making FRIENDS??" It had been mere seconds and he was already straying away from his original point. He shook his head, watching the download. "It doesn't. But your 'leave me alone don't talk to me' act is going to make it hard to make friends. But you're hot Beca. You could hook up with the hottest girls in town and get me in into the VIP clubs."
He looked serious. I blinked. It's all I could do. This man was pimping me out for popularity and party fun?? "It'll be great now come on, hair down," he prompted. We stared at each other in silence and eventually I gave up. I knew how persistent this dog could be. Better to just get it over with now, right?
I sighed and pulled off my beanie, letting my natural curls free. I stared at him unamused while he gave my hair a brief comb through with his hands. I wasn't fond of it, urging him to hurry and get on with it. He took a couple steps back, looking at me as if I were a damned trophy of his that he could show off.
"Smile."
....
He spoke again when my face didn't change. "Beca don't look like the grumpy cat memes. Smile," he said holding my phone up. I rolled my eyes for probably the thousandth time that day and shifted the curves of my lips into a subtle smile.
"See, beautiful. You should start taking more pictures Becs. There's barely any on here," he said still on my phone.
"What are you doing??"
"I'm setting up a photo queue Beca. You can't have just one. That's boring."
I went and tried to snatch my phone back from him, but he was too fast and moved it out of my reach. I looked like an idiot.
"Asshole," I mumbled.
"Hobbies. Mixing tracks..sleeping..being grumpy."
I mumbled that I hated him, walking out of MY room that he was invading. I had planned to delete it after he left, but I knew that would only prove his points. Whatever they were. I could socialize if I really wanted to. I'm not damned to be alone forever and I can make friends whenever I wanted to. He is NOT the only person in my social life.
The notification was from the scam, reminding me I still had a message in my inbox from a match. I hadn’t even looked at that scamming app yet. It was probably full of bots and pervy men catfishing. He probably chose the worst pictures. And the messages were probably just people finding time upon themselves to tell me I look like a troll. I picked my phone up with a sigh, eyeing the Tinder icon for at least another minute. Tapping it I closed my eyes, eventually peeking through them to see my chat requests.
Jesse’s profile picture of him and a random dog that wasn’t even his, displayed. Fucking Jesse. Made sense. What an idiot.
I took the liberty in swiping right on myself before I left. We are a match! I'm not surprised (; Lunch Tomorrow?
I instantly deleted the message with an annoyed grunt. He's always wasting my time. I toggled to the profile queue out of curiosity and instantly regretted my decision to enable all of this to happen in the first place. There was a girl. Hanging upside down. Like a bat. She had two braided pigtails hanging down from her head, her arms crossed. "Nope," I said swiping left instantly. That was not normal.
The next was an average looking guy. He was okay until I got to a pic of him with all of his hunting gear on. I backed out after swiping left and navigated through the settings to figure out how the fuck to set my preferences to just women. I didn't go out and tell every-body I knew, but I wasn't really interested in men. Jesse was about the only guy I could stand and that would never turn romantic for me.
The next picture stopped me in my tracks. The more I took in, the more I realized I was really no better than a man. Her photos were no joke, no doubt purposely trying to hook you in forever and make you worship the ground she walked on. She had just the right amounts of skin exposed, showing her expertise in teasing. Her blue inviting eyes made it hard to look away. Her last photo was of her and her cat though, the white ball of fluff settled on top of the woman's beautiful red vibrant curls. I knew there was no chance, but I still swiped right and I held my breath.
But nothing happened.
My stomach grumbled distracting me from my crashed hopes, so I get up making my way to the kitchen. My roommate wasn't home. She wouldn't be for the rest of the week, probably visiting her boyfriend. I fake gagged at the thought and tossed a hot pocket into the microwave, phone still in hand deciding to do more swipes while I waited. The next woman was also quite beautiful. By the looks of her you could tell she knew how to have fun. Must be a party girl, but I don't judge. She wasn't usually my type, though she was incredibly attractive anyone could see that. Her name read Stacie. She had brown hair and brown eyes, and her lips showed a proud and confident smirk that I found myself mirroring before the microwave beeped pulling me back to the urgency of food. I swiped right and grabbed my Hotpocket heading back to my room where I ended up getting lost in my music for the rest of the night, app forgotten.
My phone's screen turned on with a notif, the time showing near midnight. I slowly stretched out over my chair grabbing my phone.
I could use the company tonight, if you want to share.
Attached was a provocative photo and my phone slipped from my grasp. "Shit," I cursed quickly picking it up. I really needed to get a case on the thing before I cracked it. I told myself I was being dramatic and scolded my heart to calm down. Looking back at the inbox, I noted it was the brunette party woman I had swiped on from earlier, Stacie.
The pic shown a good snippet of cleavage from her dark blue V-neck and of course I was just looking respectfully. In her hands was a brand of wine that I knew for a fact was hard to find. She's baiting me. I was tempted for sure, but my anxiety was starting to kick in the more I thought about it.
What would we do? What would we want to do? How awkward will I be? What if I didn't stop talking or worse...what if I'm no good at it and embarrass myself to no end? The thoughts were enough to deter me. I paced for a minute or two. I couldn't lie, it'd been so long. I was human too. My hormones worked just like everyone else's. I ran my hands through my hair in further consideration, my cheeks starting to warm up at the thoughts in my head.
"Fuck it," I whispered speed walking to the kitchen to grab me a couple shots. I needed the liquid courage if I was ever going to leave my place. I found myself messaging her back while trying to pull on a hoodie. Within minutes I got her address. She meant business for sure, and evidently, she’s done this a lot, again no judgment. But the gap in experience was obvious. Biting my lip I once again started debating, the anxiety not yet dulled from the alcohol. It turned out she wasn't too far. I could jog there.
I then thought what the public would see. A small girl running out in the dark at this late time? Probably high on drugs. I sighed and grabbed a covid mask wanting to at least shield my face from her neighbors. Looking in the mirror I started freaking out. I looked terrible. "Shit," I cursed again quickly removing all of my layers to throw myself into the shower. I was NOT going anywhere when I looked like I could be homeless.
When I got out, there was another message.
Did I scare you off?
I quickly texted her back that I had just gotten out of the shower. My cheeks flushed when she asked if it was for her. Of course, if I'm going to be in company of another woman, I wanted to be the squeakiest clean I could be. Yes, that was pretty cringey. I applied a quick two layers of deodorant before rushing to my closest yanking down one of my new Attack On Titans hoodies. Wait Nerd. "Ah what the fuck," I mumbled to myself putting it back and pulling a different hoodie on, purposely skipping the sports bras I usually wear all day every day. I skipped on the underwear too and pulled on my skinny jeans. I really didn't know what to wear. It was all probably coming off anyway, right?
Here I was, like a complete stupid horny idiot standing outside of this woman's place who I didn't even know. My hands were shoved in my pockets nervously. The alcohol kicked in before I left so I was feeling better, but not ...ready. The jog did nothing to help ease my nerves.
The sole reason I was even standing here was because I couldn't shake the curiosity of being in bed with someone like Stacie. There were so many opportunities I’d missed in high school. To be honest I almost chickened out completely. But no. I deserved this. For all the bullshit I've been going through. I could do this.
Her door opened, revealing the sexually confident woman. I know everyone says this, but she looked even more beautiful than her photos. She was wearing the V-neck from the picture and my eyes couldn't help shifting down onto the exposed skin between. Of course she called me out with a giggle. "My eyes are up here." My eyes quickly shoot up in embarrassment. "O-of course I'm sorry I didn't me-" I was cut off by a finger to my lips.
She seemed to watch me, taking me in. Her eyes looked curious, intrigued for a moment looking at me as if I were an item for purchase. The woman pulled me inside settling onto the couch with our wine glasses. After a few minutes she asked if it were okay if she pulled off my hoodie, wanting me to make myself comfortable. I brought the glass of wine she offered me, to my lips taking a couple slow but large swallows before nodding. That liquid courage be saving lives I tell you. I think she noticed my nerves because she giggled.
While she slowly unzipped me, she seemed pleased in seeing I had no bra underneath and carefully pulled off the hoodie the rest of the ways. She then shifted to pull off her V-neck. It felt like I'd forgotten how to breath. She watched me raking my eyes over her body, not shying away from my gaze. I discovered quickly she also wasn’t wearing anything underneath.
She carefully grasped my hands in hers and slowly guided them to her chest, where I gently fondled and pinched, knowing my face was reddening. I couldn’t remember the last time I had felt up on a pair of breasts besides my own.
“I can tell you don’t usually do things like this,” she teased lightly, watching me, to which I awkwardly chuckle.
“I’m that obvious huh.”
We lazily trailed our hands over one another while we asked questions about each other. For the most part I was contained with my information, not being too detailed in my answers but we got by in conversation. We both enjoyed another glass, watching music videos of her favorite artists. She wanted to show me she could take things slow, not wanting to overwhelm me. I was having more fun than I realized, even doing simple shit like bopping my head to the beat of Lady Gaga despite my nips being out in the open for the world.
The next time I blinked she was in my lap. She slowly leaned back closer to my face, her voice audible over the music with her back pressed against me. "Is this okay?" she asked.
I knew I was blushing, managing small but quick nods which made her laugh. She moved to sway her hips slightly, gradually grinding herself against my lap in time with the music. At some point I'm sure she had gotten off right there in my lap. I was probably too wasted to become shy by this point. I felt good. Hell, my body felt like it was vibrating. And this hot sexy woman wanted me, there was no miscommunication there.
At some point in the night the tv had turned itself off, it being inactive for a while. We both lay comfortably, her laying on top of my lower body. A projector provided us light, casting the stars across the walls. She tugged at my underwear, a determined expression inching onto her face. "I don't know why these are still on."
I looked at her to see that she was already watching me. I only smirked playfully at her which spurred her to suddenly pin me down against the couch. I don't know why, but I wanted to show her that she may have underestimated me. I quickly tucked my legs to trap her between them, flipping us over. Hearing her squeal made me laugh, which added fire to her determination to regain control of the reigns. A match ensued.
The first thing I registered was sore. I didn't need to move to be able to tell how sore my body was. Slowly coming to my surroundings, I opened my eyes, looking up at the unfamiliar ceiling. There was a dull headache, but nothing too bad. I felt Stacie's body on my lower half, her breathing against the side of my hip.
I recalled last night in my head, a familiar feeling of arousal making itself known in my pit. We were so occupied that we hadn’t even moved to her bedroom.
I remembered the biting. There was a lot of them, not that I minded. I bit my lip. Bruises, definitely a lot of those. I couldn't remember the last time sex felt... well. Good. Stacie wasn't a stranger when it came to figuring out someone's body. I felt stiff so I tried to stretch out, careful not wanting to wake her, but then the front door opened.
"Morning Stace!" the new voice chimed. My head quickly shot up from the couch. She never mentioned roommates. Or a girlfriend possibly, I couldn't figure it out. The movement caused Stacie to start to stir but she wasn't awake fast enough for my liking.
I was suddenly making eye contact with the redhead I saw on my phone screen last night. Her eyes were more blue than the photos could ever capture, the tones being brought out from the red in her hair. My brain felt like it were malfunctioning and I didn't know how restart it. I looked stupidly at her, frozen, my bits covered.
"Stacey Fucking Conrad," the redhead eventually exclaimed in disbelief, a growl in her voice. I felt the weight shift but Stacie didn't get up. That's when I knew she was screwing me over, pretending to be asleep to try and get out of this situation. Oh my god. This was it. I thought of that scene in OITNB, when Piper got attacked and punched by Alex Vause’s ex when they got caught sleeping together.
The redhead spoke again when she didn't get a reply from Stacie. "I can't be the only one that understands how dibs work! I called dibs! Wait. What?? I blinked, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
Stacie’s head popped out from under our thin bed sheet. "Don't be a sourpuss because I got to her first, slowpoke.”
