The worry only worsens at that, and when Grian turns the corner to the study, he sees the door is already open. He pauses for a moment, staring at it. Something sits on the doorknob, causing him to squint.
Reaching for it, Grian grabs hold of the knob, feeling some kind of stringy consistency touch his skin. He immediately rips his hand away before shining his light on it. “Webs?” he questions as his light reveals a loose spider web hanging from the doorknob.
He shines his light into the study, already finding Scar inside. He turns to face Grian, expression grim.
“They’re gone.”
