Work Text:
Gyuvin can’t express how much he regrets his choice.
He acknowledges that he’s been dependent on his parents for almost his entire life. It’s not as if he asks them for money everyday, but they supply him with cash pretty often, which Gyuvin feels bad for even though he knows that they’re doing it out of their own will. Now that he’s a few months away from starting college, though, he feels the need to show that he can survive by himself when he moves away from his childhood home. Deep down, Gyuvin knows that his parents don’t mind supporting him financially every now and then, but this is something that he himself has an issue with– he just didn’t want to free-ride on their money. As a solution, he decided to work at the local mall’s flower boutique. Gyuvin has been interested in botany since he was a kid, so it was a no-brainer for him when he was looking for jobs that he could take up. If he had to succumb to capitalism, then he might as well do something that he enjoys.
He’s only been here for three weeks, and as much as he loves helping out customers with arranging bouquets and admiring the flowers when he’s alone, there are also a lot of things that he cannot stand.
“Oh, by the way, I need you to restock the red roses and peonies after your break!” His manager yells as he goes back to his own office.
Gyuvin puts on a fake smile and gives a thumbs up before speed walking out of the store, muttering an off-handed comment underneath his breath.
First on Gyuvin’s shit list is Kim Jiwoong, also known as the manager of the shop. He doesn’t even know if the man is qualified for his position since he had no knowledge on flowers whatsoever despite claiming that he used to run his own store by himself when he was a teenager. The boy is pretty sure that he’s dating the hamster-like barista at the café on the first floor, and if he’s correct, then he feels bad for Jiwoong’s boyfriend. It’s not like he’s done anything bad to Gyuvin personally, but the kid absolutely cannot put up with how bossy he is. Hell, he always finds something to make him do even when he’s on his breaks.
Second on his list would be his co-worker, Seok Matthew. Truly, he does not know how the Canadian boy has managed to keep his job for so long. According to Jiwoong, Matthew has been an employee for almost a year, and when Gyuvin first heard this, he thought that he could be someone he can depend on when he needed help adjusting to the atmosphere. However, he concluded that to be completely false when Matthew arrived at his shift 45 minutes late, leading Gyuvin to manage the store all alone on only his third day.
Last but certainly not least– the annoying customers. Gyuvin came in fully aware that he’d inevitably have to deal with a bunch of entitled shoppers, but he didn’t expect just how irritating some of them could be. Given, he should have listened to his friends’ advice when handling those kinds of people since they have more experience working in retail than he does, though he’s just glad that he doesn’t have a short temper, or else he would’ve gotten fired on his first week for arguing with multiple people.
“Haven’t seen you in a while, Gyuvin!” Hanbin, the barista who Gyuvin assumes is seeing Jiwoong, beams cheerfully. “What can I get for you? You look a bit tired.”
The teenager only hums. “Yeah, it’s been pretty busy today,” He says while scanning the menu.
Hanbin nods sympathetically, knowing the feeling a little too well. “I hope Jiwoong isn’t stressing you out too much, then. I know he can be a handful sometimes.”
Oh, if only you knew.
Gyuvin tries his best to not make a passive aggressive remark toward the aforementioned man and instead proceeds to register his order. “I’ll.. just get a bagel and a grande iced Americano.”
“Coming right up!”
The brunette leaves the café happily with his lunch. He knows that the pastries there, which Hanbin bakes himself, are always delicious (except for that one time he ordered Injeolmi toast and it somehow came out cold), and they also let him forget that he has to return to his job in a couple of minutes. Simultaneously, this reminds him that he has to get the delivery for the shop, which instantly ruins his mood again.
Shrugging the thought off, Gyuvin simply returns to finishing his bagel. He can continue stressing over that once he’s finished eating.
.
Gyuvin makes a mental note to stop wearing hoodies in the summer.
Normally, he would spend his summer outings at a PC bang with his friends, so it wouldn’t be much of a problem if he decided to wear a sweater. Now that he has to get deliveries ever so often, he has to deal with the sun’s scorching heat while attempting to bring the flowers to the third floor.
“Jiwoong, I have the ros– oh, hello.”
The blond boy sitting at one of the tables lifts his head up from his sketchbook, facing Gyuvin. “Ah, I’m sorry, do you work here?”
He can’t judge how old the other boy is– he looks more mature than he is; his eyes are sharp and pointed like one would see from a feline, although he’s not sure if he should ask for his age on their first encounter. What Gyuvin does know is that he’s extremely pretty.
“Y-yeah, I have to restock some of the flowers over there.” Gyuvin stutters, putting down the fresh roses and peonies on the counter as he points at the section of the shop that’s lacking in fresh blossoms.
“Oh, I’m sorry for troubling you, then!” The boy stands up and apologizes rather quickly. Gyuvin comes to notice that he has a slight accent to his voice that makes him sound a lot softer, and that they’re pretty much the same height. “I’m from the art supply store from across and I usually spend my breaks here, but I didn’t expect you to be out of your shift as well when I arrived.”
Gyuvin thinks that he looks like an absolute buffoon right now. He doesn’t know why this stranger is making him act so weirdly, but it’s impossible to hide the red flush on his face.
He quickly snaps out of it before things get too awkward. “It’s fine, you’re not disturbing me anyways. You can continue drawing over there while I organize the flowers.”
The blond nods at him with a sense of relief. “Thank you, Gyuvin..?” He says his name with uncertainty, eyeing the florist’s ID.
“Yep, that’s me!” He giddily confirms, showing off his name tag with pride. “And you are?”
The boy from the art store gives him a small smile, offering a handshake.
“Shen Ricky. You can just call me Ricky, though.”
✿
“Do you know the blond worker from the arts & crafts store?” is the first thing Gyuvin asks when he sees Matthew the following day.
Under any circumstances, Gyuvin would not ask Matthew about this sort of thing. Unfortunately for him, he and Ricky couldn’t continue their conversation due to Jiwoong barging in from his office, which only solidified his position on Gyuvin’s shit list. In addition to this, the brunette is too anxious to actually go to the art store by himself, which is why Matthew is his only option at the moment.
“Who? Kuanjui?” Matthew passes the question back while he continues to water the hyacinths. “Well, he doesn’t work there anymore, but I’m pretty sure you saw him once during your first week.”
“No, not him.”
“Oh, are you talking about Bahiyyih?”
“No! I’m asking about this guy named Ricky.”
“Ah.. Never heard of him.”
Gyuvin sighs and allows his head to fall on the counter. “You’re absolutely useless.”
Matthew lets out a chuckle, looking back at his co-worker. “Kidding, I do know him. Why are you asking, though?” He questions, curious about Gyuvin’s intentions.
“No reason in particular.. I happened to see him yesterday while he was drawing some of the petunias.” Gyuvin sheepishly explains, scratching his nape. “I just want to get to know him a little better.”
“Well, if this comes up as important information to you, then Taerae said he used to be his junior in high school, which would probably mean that you guys are the same age.” Matthew adds on, directing his attention back to the hyacinths.
“Oh, and he often goes here during his breaks to sketch the flowers, which is why you saw him yesterday. I think you’ll see him a lot more now that you have afternoon shifts on Wednesday and Sunday.”
And indeed, Matthew was right.
Gyuvin never expected to say that sentence out loud, but he started seeing Ricky more frequently ever since their first meeting. Without fail, he always returns from his break to the sight of the artist carefully tracing an intricate flower design on his sketchbook.
It’s something that has been slowly engraved into Gyuvin’s schedules, and he has to say that having Ricky by his side helps him get through the day. They’ve only ever had short exchanges, but he still enjoys the boy’s presence in the store while he either restocks the flowers or listens to Jiwoong’s rants. Though, Gyuvin is determined to have a legitimate conversation with him today.
“Hi.” Ricky gently welcomes him without looking up from his paper.
“Hey,” Gyuvin returns the greeting as he places a bag of donuts in front of him.
“I got them from the café downstairs. I realized that I’ve never seen you bring any food to the boutique, so I thought to bring some to you.” He coughs, nervously tapping his foot.
Ricky grins at him, finally making eye contact. “I’m not shameless enough to bring snacks to your own store. I always eat lunch before I come up here, but still, thank you.. I appreciate it a lot.”
“It’s not something you have to thank me for, I swear!” He hurriedly reassures Ricky. “You can just take them home if you’ve already eaten.”
“What about you?
“Hm?”
“You don’t want the donuts?”
“Well—“
The blond motions for him to sit down with him. “I saw your boss leave in his car when I went to the food court earlier. Plus, it’s been a little slow today, so I doubt any customers will disturb us.”
“And what about your job? You do know that your co-workers can see you here, right?” Gyuvin questions as he hesitantly sits across Ricky.
He simply shrugs his shoulders, opening the bag of freshly baked pastries. “Taerae and Hiyyih are there, they’ll be fine. And like I said, it’s a slow day.” Ricky nonchalantly replies.
“Ew, you’re just like Matthew.” Gyuvin says with a tint of annoyance in his voice, proceeding to stuff a chocolate sprinkle donut in his face after that.
“Is that supposed to be a bad thing or..?” Ricky playfully asks.
“Very.” The younger boy answers. “I really don’t know how he’s managed to keep his job for so long when he always passes on his shifts to me.”
Ricky giggles at Gyuvin’s reaction, while he eats the strawberry flavored dessert. “I’m sorry to tell you this, but between all my co-workers, I’m probably the most similar to Matthew.”
“Boo, you’re not allowed to go here on your breaks anymore!”
This causes Ricky to break down laughing, which the florist finds absolutely hilarious as well. He’s seen the artist’s gummy smile every once in a while, but this is the first time Gyuvin has seen him actually losing himself, and he thinks this is a sign that he’s successfully achieved his mission in befriending Ricky.
The blond boy wipes a fake tear from the corner of his eyes after recomposing himself, pretending to be hurt by Gyuvin’s remark. “Wow, suit yourself then. I’ll find a new store to do my drawings at.” He snarkily comments, his voice airy after laughing so much.
“And what are you gonna draw? The plushies at the arcade?” Gyuvin snorts at the thought, although he’s positive that he’s spotted Ricky sketching the prizes from the claw machine at least thrice. “Anyways, it was a joke, I wouldn’t want you to go away. After all, you’re the only one who keeps me occupied.”
Ricky furrows his eyebrows at this, taking the last donut away from Gyuvin’s hands. “Either you enjoy my company so much or you just don’t have enough friends, considering that this is the first time we’ve properly talked to each other.”
“Well, I’d like if we get to speak more often.” Gyuvin admits. “You know, like this.”
The only thing that follows after that is silence, and for a minute, Gyuvin thinks that he’s fucked up terribly. Ricky has come to the boutique enough times for Gyuvin to observe some of his mannerisms, and he’s noticed that the older one doesn't leave unless he gets the last word, which explains his extreme paranoia regarding his reaction.
Before the florist can even attempt to apologize, Ricky writes something down on his sketchpad before ripping the page off and giving it to a clueless Gyuvin.
“My number. We have to start somewhere if you want this to happen more in the future.”
✿
“He gave you his number?” Matthew eyes Gyuvin suspiciously, unsure of whether he should trust him or not.
“Why is that so hard for you to believe?!” Gyuvin groans, ruffling his hair out of frustration. “It’s like you think that I’m incapable of talking to another boy!”
Three days have passed since Gyuvin and Ricky’s previous interaction, and the former decided to tell Matthew what happened. It’s been an uneventful day at the shop, and sharing this piece of information to his co-worker seems to be the only way he could get rid of the quiet atmosphere. However, Gyuvin quickly starts to think that this is a mistake.
The older boy clicks his tongue, resting his head on his hand. “It’s more of the fact that I don’t have any faith in you, but I also believe in what you just said, to be honest.” He says, resulting in Gyuvin throwing an empty water bottle at him.
“Relax!” Matthew throws his hands up, surrendering himself. “It just surprises me since Taerae told me that Ricky doesn’t really like socializing. Also, no offense, but it’s like you have a crush on him or something with how frequently you talk about him.”
“Yeah? I could say the same thing about you with Taerae.”
“You take that ba—“
“Boys, I need you to get the lilies downstairs!” Jiwoong yells from his office, cutting them off before it becomes a petty argument.
Gyuvin hops up from his seat, giving Matthew the “I’m watching you” gesture before exiting the shop. Matthew gives no reaction to this, and instead continues to silently judge the teenager inside his head.
The two quickly forget about the entire conversation as if it never happened and simply proceed to attending to the customers’ needs, albeit Gyuvin still can’t get a part of it out of his mind. Sure, he thinks that Ricky is pretty, but having a crush on him? That just sounds absurd. It wouldn’t make sense for him to be attracted to someone he’s barely met. In the end, he chooses not to question Matthew about this, trying not to think about it too much.
.
Gyuvin did not expect for Ricky to slowly seep into his daily life.
During the first few weeks, their communication was limited to Ricky coming into the store, which neither of them had any problem with. Though, things soon changed after Ricky gave his number– Gyuvin didn’t think that the artist would want anything to do with him outside their workplace, but surprisingly, he was the first one to send a text. Whenever the two of them were off work, they’d end up staying awake all night talking to each other. For Ricky, this would be no problem since he only has shifts in the afternoon, but Gyuvin does not have the same situation. Their late-night conversations once caused him to come in late on a certain Monday morning, much to Jiwoong’s chagrin, as he already had to deal with Matthew’s regular tardiness.
Their texting has helped ease some of the awkward silence they previously had, and Gyuvin would like to say that he and Ricky have gotten to know each other better since then. Some of the things he’s managed to uncover are his birthday, his Chinese name, and that he used to live in Los Angeles, although Gyuvin can say a lot more if he wants to. Now that he knows so much about Ricky, he can’t help but wonder if the other can say the same.
“Here you go, my good sir.” Gyuvin winks, giving him a strawberry milkshake.
Oh– another thing that Gyuvin has learned is that Ricky has an affinity for the drink from Hanbin’s café.
Ricky rolls his eyes, continuing to draw the asters that were displayed in front of him. “My good sir? God, you get more and more lame with each passing day.”
“What do you want me to call you then?” Gyuvin claps back at him. “‘Cause I can call you m’lord if you really want to.”
“I don’t know, maybe just stick with Ricky?” He snickers, taking a sip of the milkshake.
“..Or maybe you could call me your b—“
“Good day, welcome to In Bloom Florals! What would you like me to prepare for you today?” Before Ricky can continue what he was saying, he proceeds to get interrupted by Gyuvin’s customer service voice as he gets ready to take in an order.
Ricky lets out a sigh at this, scribbling on the paper with frustration.
After Gyuvin bids the customer goodbye with a colorful bouquet filled with pink dahlias and a mix of chrysanthemums, he immediately redirects his focus to Ricky, who swiftly flips his sketchbook to another page.
“Sorry, what were you going to say?”
“Ah, it was nothing.” Ricky shakes his head, getting up from the table with his sketchpad and cup. “I.. need to go back to the art store now. Bye, Gyuvin!”
The florist finds this to be weird, but he assumes that the other workers from his store needed some extra help, leading Ricky to leave in a hurry. Nonetheless, Gyuvin goes back to his own schedule, rearranging the rose section.
✿
Ricky only continues to act even weirder after that day.
The younger one doesn’t quite know what’s gotten into him, but ever since his shift on Sunday, Ricky started to ask him for relationship advice. Well, he wouldn’t really consider it as relationship advice, but it sure does feel like it.
First, Ricky messaged him on Monday evening, asking if he’s ever had a crush; Gyuvin found this to be an unusual question and responded with a solid no. After this, the blond asked if he at least knows what it’s like to have a crush, saying that he’s going through a crisis because of a boy he knows. Once again, Gyuvin couldn’t answer this, as the only time someone’s ever ranted to him about having a crush is when Matthew texted him in a panic, confessing that he indeed likes Taerae. This response leads Ricky to go offline for the rest of the night, declaring that Gyuvin was no help.
The following day, however, Ricky continued to ask him questions that were related to his dilemma. Gyuvin isn’t sure why he keeps consulting him for this when he’s already proved to be useless when it comes to the topic. This time, Ricky asked whether it would be better if he hid his feelings for his crush, to which the brunette encouraged him to confess soon. Strangely enough, the older boy refused to take up the suggestion– why’d he bother asking if he won’t even listen to him?
“What has been up with you lately?” On Wednesday, Gyuvin returns to the boutique without bringing any snacks, as he believes that he can’t have a proper conversation with Ricky if he did.
Ricky stares at him in confusion. “What do you mean, exactly?” He asks, closing his sketchbook shut.
Gyuvin takes a seat across from him. “You know, the entire relationship advice thing.”
“What about it? Can I not ask you for feedback?”
“No, it’s just that I won’t have any helpful insights, so why ask me in the first place for that kind of stuff? And even if I do give a suggestion, then you just shut it down.”
“Well, you’re the person I talk to the most and I’d rather have you give a half-assed response than ask someone else,” Ricky explains, fiddling with his hands under the table. “I’m sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable or upset with that.”
“You don’t have to apologize for it, it’s just.. it kinda came out of nowhere. I’ll try my best to give you a proper answer at least, even if I’ve never experienced whatever you’re going through right now.” He assures, taking Ricky’s hands to stop his nervousness.
The artist quickly makes eye contact with him again, and for a short second, Gyuvin thinks that he might have seen Ricky blushing, but concludes that he was just imagining things. Meanwhile, Ricky squeezes the florist’s hands tightly, running out of things to say.
“I’ll confess to him on Sunday!” He abruptly announces before rushing out of the flower boutique with his sketchbook once again, leaving Gyuvin’s palms empty.
Gyuvin thinks that the entire situation is a bit weird, though he has no place to speak when he’s never even liked someone. So, he decides to mop the floors before Jiwoong comes back.
Now that he’s alone again, he takes the time to reflect on what Ricky asked him two days ago– he has no idea how this crush thing works either, so it’s not like he could give a genuine answer. Instead, he ponders on what exactly he’s attracted to.
At first, Gyuvin’s mind is drawing on a blank. He doesn’t even have an ideal type because he feels like it would change ever so often, making it even more difficult for him to think about this. While passing by the sunflowers, he happens to think about Ricky.
Ricky and his gummy smile that lets Gyuvin see how his eyes turn into crescents when he’s a little too happy. Ricky and his drawings that Gyuvin unconsciously admires whenever they sit together. Ricky and his love for collecting cute stickers and journaling that would lead to him rambling on until the sun comes up. Ricky and his warm personality that energizes Gyuvin when he’s on the verge of falling asleep—
“I like Ricky!”
“Well, good afternoon to you too, Gyuvin.” Gyuvin almost lets out a screech upon hearing Jiwoong’s voice, quickly dropping the mop and bowing to his manager out of embarrassment.
“I’m so sorry, please don’t tell anyone about this!”
.
Gyuvin feels extremely stupid for not realizing this sooner.
After explaining his entire situation to Jiwoong (who now proclaims himself as Gyuvin’s “wingman”), Gyuvin went back home with too many thoughts in his head. He’s well-aware that Ricky has quite literally confessed to him that he likes another guy, but as long as Ricky still hasn’t made his feelings known, then he may still have a chance.
“I’m sorry, you want me to do what?” Matthew repeats, unsure if what he was hearing is correct.
“Just arrange a bouquet for me for three days!” Gyuvin yells at him over the phone. “I promise I’ll pay you extra by the end of the week, it doesn’t matter whether he accepts my confession or not.”
The problem at hand here is that Gyuvin is too much of a coward to actually express his love for Ricky in front of him. Thankfully, he’s come up with a solid plan.
“Let me get this straight. I’m going to arrange a bouquet for you until Saturday, give it to Taerae before Ricky comes for his shift, and let Taerae explain that it’s from his admirer AKA you?”
“Exactly! If Ricky comes to the store and asks you who it is, do not tell him.”
“This sounds like a terrible confession.” Matthew frowns, giving his honest opinion.
Gyuvin resists the urge to cuss out his co-worker, silently massaging his temples to calm himself down. “I didn’t say anything about your shitty plan with Taerae.”
“I’m literally just taking him to the movies, how is that a shitty plan?!” He shouts back, done with Gyuvin’s shenanigans. “Anyways, how do you even want me to present them?”
“I have a few ideas in mind.”
✿
“Are these supposed to be for me..?” Ricky asks with uncertainty as Taerae hands him the bouquet. He had quite literally just arrived at work, and suddenly, he’s greeted with the sight of lilacs being shoved into his face.
“Yeah, Matthew said that an admirer requested to give this to you. Go ahead and read the note.” Taerae says without any further explanation and instead goes to reorganize the shelves.
“What the fuck is going on,” The blond murmurs to himself, taking out the piece of paper

“Again?” Ricky eyes the bouquet on the counter, although this time, Bahiyyih is the one to give it to him.
The girl simply nods at him, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. “Taerae explained the situation to me yesterday. I guess you’ll have to deal with this until tomorrow.”
“Has Taerae really not told you anything else about this?!” Ricky questions once again, desperate for more information.
“As far as I’m concerned, he’s just as clueless as you are.”
Once more, Ricky reads the note before going into his station.

“Dear God, I can’t do this anymore.” Ricky blurts out on the last day.
Before Taerae or Bahiyyih could even hand the jasmines to him, he hurriedly goes to the boutique in hopes of finding Matthew there. Fortunately for him, the boy was only about to leave for lunch break.
“Oh– hi, Ri—“
“I need to know who’s sending me those flowers!” He yells frantically, holding the much shorter Matthew by his shoulders. “Scratch that– I don’t need to know, but please just tell them that I already like someone else.”
Matthew was clearly not trained by Gyuvin on what to say if ever Ricky approaches him like this. First, he puts Ricky’s hands away from his shoulders and attempts to not make his panicked state apparent. “I’d advise you to read the note first.”
“But—“
“I promise everything will make sense tomorrow, but I can’t tell you anything for now!” Matthew cuts Ricky off before he can say anything else, quickly running away from him after that.
Defeated, Ricky has no choice but to go back to the art store and read the last note for himself.

“Hanbin, I can’t do this anymore!” Gyuvin cries out to the barista, miserably slumped over the table.
“I’m here, too.” Jiwoong, who’s sitting in front of Gyuvin, clears his throat. “Also, I’ve been helping Matthew arrange your flower bouquets for Ricky, so I’d really like to say that I’m your biggest wingman.”
Hanbin chuckles at this, delivering Jiwoong’s latte and a strawberry milkshake for Gyuvin. “Babe, you have no sense of artistic direction. You can’t expect me to believe that.” He says, joining the two at their table.
“Well, Matthew always rearranges it at the end, but I still help!” The manager of the flower shop whines, taking a sip of his coffee.
The black haired man pats Gyuvin on the back as reassurance. “Gyuvin, you said you wouldn’t care whether or not he accepts your confession, right?”
Gyuvin raises his head, nodding at Hanbin’s question. “Yes, but I’m still worried about his reaction, like what if he thinks that I’m a complete weirdo?!”
“I don’t think you have enough time to worry about that right now. I’m pretty sure Ricky’s break ends in seven minutes.” Jiwoong points out, showing his wristwatch to the two.
“Shit, you’re right!” This immediately gets Gyuvin to get up from the table with the milkshake, running out of the café as fast as he can while the couple looks at him in disbelief.
“Kids these days, am I right?” Jiwoong jokes, which fails to invoke a reaction from Hanbin.
“At least his confession wasn’t as stupid as yours.”
“I worked my ass off learning how to bake those macarons for you!”
“Ji, as much as I love you, they tasted terrible.”
.
Just as Gyuvin expected, he sees Ricky sitting inside the boutique when he arrives on the third floor. He’s thankful that he wasn’t started at the window spot, or else Gyuvin might as well have gotten a heart attack there and then. Before he goes in, he takes a deep breath, encouraging himself mentally.
He taps Ricky’s shoulder, giving him the milkshake before anything else. If he doesn’t accept his confession and decides to stop being friends with him after this, then at least Gyuvin was able to give him his drink for one last time.
“God, you scared me,” Ricky laughs nervously, accepting the beverage with shaky hands. “I, uh.. I actually have something to tell you.”
“No, I have something to say too—“
“No!” He defensively shouts, and Gyuvin momentarily thinks that he’s never heard him being that loud before. “I mean– no, please let me go first. I’d be embarrassed if I were to say it right after we’ve had a conversation.”
Ricky closes his eyes for a second, mentally preparing himself. “You’re the guy I’ve been talking about this entire time. I know that sounds stupid and you might think I’m just messing around with you, but you’re the most oblivious person I’ve ever met, and I didn’t expect for you to catch on. It turns out I was right in assuming that since you obviously still don’t know this.”
“I tried to write a speech last night, but it felt too.. fake for me. I really, really want to express this to you without any pretense, so…” The younger one sighs, clenching his fists as he looks into Gyuvin’s eyes.
“I like you, Gyuvin.”
As much as Gyuvin would like to stay in awe right now, he can’t help but burst out laughing, causing Ricky to stare at him cluelessly. He’s not sure what the blond is thinking at this moment, but he knows that he needs to recover from his fit fast before Ricky gets the wrong idea.
“I– I am so sorry for laughing,” Gyuvin apologizes, feeling bad for his abrupt response. “It’s just that I wasn’t expecting that, like at all.”
“I was the one who was sending those flowers to you. I swear to you that I had no idea who you were talking about, so you were right with me being too slow to catch on.” He smiles, grabbing onto Ricky’s hands again. “I was just expecting you to reject me, but I guess we’re both stupid.”
Before Gyuvin can say anything else, Ricky lunges at him with a hug, throwing himself over the taller boy’s body. “I can’t believe I like such a dumbass like you.”
Gyuvin only giggles at this, quickly returning the gesture. “I can’t believe you’d say that in front of my face.” He replies, ruffling Ricky’s hair.
“It’s true, though.”
“Yeah, it is.”
“Wait- does this mean that we’re officially dating now?” Ricky asks, pulling away from the hug.
The florist unintentionally snorts. “Well, I don’t mind, but that fast?”
“I’m tired of you calling me ‘good sir’, that’s why I almost told you a week ago that you should just call me your boyfriend.”
“That’s what you wanted to say?!”
