Applebees Adventure

Summary:

It came perfectly to Toya’s mind - the perfect plan. How he wanted to get revenge on An and end the cheating once and for all.

“Help me kill Akito Shinonome.” Toya stood up from his bed and got down on one knee. He extended his hand towards Othello, who instantly took it and kneeled down. “I’m all yours,” Othello chuckled.

Chapter 1: MASSIVE Heartbreak

Chapter Text

Hearing loud clunks downstairs, Toya awoke from his slumber and turned to stare at his clock. 3am. Toya glanced at the side where An would’ve been sleeping, covers still intact. Why was An coming home at 3am? An said that she had a work meeting, and that she’d be home before 9pm.

Toya had already suspected that An was mingling with another man, but he didn’t expect her to be so blatantly obvious about it. “Goddamn it. That idiot.” Toya muttered to himself. He rolled over to the side and wound himself tightly in a ball. He stuffed his bed sheets onto his face, stifling the sounds of his cries.

CLOMP. An started stomping her way up the stairs, unbothered by the fact that Toya could have been sleeping peacefully in their room. Toya quickly removed the sheets from his face, revealing a giant wet spot where his tears had been.

Before Toya had the chance to do anything about it, An plopped onto the bed, right where his wet spot had been. “Ugh. Gross. Did Toya piss the bed again?” She uttered, throwing her dirty towel on top of the spot. “Akito would have never pissed his bed like this. His bed is so much more comfortable.” An mumbled. Although she had mumbled softly to herself, Toya was able to hear just enough to make out the man’s name. Akito? AKITO?!

Toya wanted to scream and smash all of the walls in. MY PARTNER AKITO?! Akito, the neon orange haired dwarf that had been his songwriting partner for over 5 years? Who was a whole inch shorter than he was? THAT AKITO?! At that moment, the only thought running through Toya’s mind was how he wanted to bash Akito’s head in. But, Toya slept peacefully and silently, afraid to do anything that might reveal what he knew.

Inside, Toya’s head was reeling. He was formulating a plan - which in hindsight might not have been the best idea, but he was left with no other option.
I’m going to kill him.

Toya laid awake in bed, tossing and turning until sunrise. By the time that he had finally managed to get some shut-eye, An had already left the house, without so much as a goodbye.

When Toya woke up from his one hour doze, he couldn’t help but think about An and Akito. He stood up, grabbed the nearest lamp, and impulsively hurled it at the painting of An hanging next to their dresser. SMASH! The antique glass lamp shattered into a thousand tiny pieces on the ground, while the portrait of An was left unscathed.

“GOD DAMN IT!” Toya yelled, as he went to go pick up pieces of the glass lamp, slicing his hand open in the process. After trying to pick up several glass shards and failing miserably, Toya went back to sulking on the bed, laying his head directly on his wet spot from the night before.

“What does he have that I don’t?” Toya questioned himself. What drove An away so much so that she felt compelled to cheat? And with Akito on top of that? Toya thought about his qualities, but he couldn’t think of any flaws. After all, he was a violin prodigy with lucious blue hair, a beautiful face, and not to mention a rockin’ hot bod as well (An loved his suckable nipples). He had it all. So what happened?

Toya couldn’t bear to think about it any longer. He grabbed his phone, and clicked on ‘Project Sekai’, a rhythm game meant for people that have no lives. He couldn’t help it. He felt so devastated that he regressed to his old degenerate ways.

“Stop right there!” A deep voice suddenly yelled, coming from the hallway next to Toya’s bedroom. Toya jumped back, frightened. He could feel pee starting to run down his leg. Toya quickly shoved his phone in his pants, not caring for the fresh pee sitting in his underwear.

Toya pulled the covers over his head, in an attempt to muffle his screams. He heard a faint knocking at the door, then another, before a large CRASH! sound of the door being knocked down.

Toya wet himself completely before even thinking about calling the police. By the time he took out his phone from his pants, his phone had stopped working due to the outrageous amount of pee it had absorbed.

“Stop! I’m going to call the police if you come any closer!” Toya yelled at the anonymous man. Toya knew it was an empty threat, but he was hopeful that maybe it would be enough to deter the man. The noise stopped. Had the man retreated?

Toya took a glance over the covers to find a large, bald man staring back at him. Toya had no idea it was possible to pee himself twice.

“Reveal yourself, peasant.” The man remarked. Immediately, Toya threw the covers off of his head and stared straight at the man. He was too scared shitless to do anything else. The big bald man eyed Toya up and down, as if he were judging him on a contest.

Toya looked right at the man, but couldn’t see anything through his tear-filled eyes. Everything he looked at was a blur. After a few moments, the man finally spoke again, breaking the empty silence.

“My name is Othello.”

What? Toya used the back of his hand to wipe his tears off and took a closer look at the man. Everything, from his sexy bald tattooed head all the way down to his golden hoop earrings were the same. “You’re Othello? As in THE Othello from the play Othello? Where the main character is Othello? THAT Othello? Or do you mean a different Othe-”, Othello silenced Toya, putting a hand up to his mouth.

Othello nodded slowly and turned away, a bit embarrassed that Toya had recognized him. “I want to help you.” Othello spoke, still too bashful to keep eye contact with Toya.

Toya was flabbergasted. This sexy, bald-headed man wants to help ME? Toya drooled a little bit. He may or may not have had a huge fetish for bald hair. One of An’s problems was that she refused to shave, but he never cheated, did he now?

Othello quickly pulled his hand away, feeling dribbles of Toya’s saliva fresh on his palm.

Othello licked his hand clean and wiped it on his bald head, making his head appear shiner and slicker than ever. Toya’s heart throbbed. God, this man is so fine. I want him so bad. Luckily, Toya was able to hold back his impulses. However, had Othello made his head any shiner, Toya might have just about lost it.

“Okay. I heard about what happened to you and An,” Othello explained. “I want to help you get revenge. No one should ever have to go through that alone.”

“Wait, wait…how did you know An was cheating on me?” Toya asked. He was a bit weirded out, but at the same time, he was glad Othello was offering him help.

“I watch you in your sleep. Under your bed. I built a tunnel under your house.” Othello continued.

“How did you..? What did you..? Why..?” Toya had so many questions that he wanted to ask that he couldn’t form coherent sentences. Othello covered Toya’s mouth again and proceeded to speak, ignoring his questions.

“Tell me what you want me to do.” Othello spoke, removing his hand from Toya’s mouth once again. In that moment, all of the thoughts from the previous night rushed to his head. He remembered everything he wanted to do - how he wanted to kill someone.

THE NEXT DAY
“Okay. Do you remember what you have to do?” Toya asked Othello. “Be at Akito’s house by 5pm sharp. That’s when we’ll strike.” Othello nodded. Toya also nodded, because he saw Othello’s shiny bald head and knew that was his true calling.

Come 5pm though, and the only one other than Toya and Akito himself at Akito’s house was AN SHIRAISHI.

Toya groaned from his spot underneath the window to Akito’s room, which was wide open. Consequently, every single lewd moan An let out (“Akito! Right there! Yes!”, “Mmmhm let me have your children…”) was audible to him. This only reminded him of those long-gone blissful times when she would only sleep with him, not that orange midget, and he began singing Olivia Rodrigo’s hit song Déjà Vu in his head:

So when you gonna tell her
That we did that, too?
She thinks it's special
But it's all reused
That was our place, I found it first
I made the jokes you tell to her when she's with you
Do you get déjà vu when she's with you?

Toya buried his face in his hands, unsure of how much longer he could stand. Five minutes became ten minutes which became thirty minutes. Jesus Christ, how is Akito…he didn’t finish that thought.

Suddenly, his phone began ringing (his phone worked again after soaking it in rice). Toya jumped up with a start, quickly running over to the other side of the street in hopes that An and Akito didn’t hear. Actually, he was pretty sure they didn’t, since they were too busy making love.

“Hello?” Toya asked, annoyed.

“It’s me, Othello,” the voice on the other end said.

“OMG, hi Othello!” he exclaimed, twirling a lock of hair around his fingers and too distracted to ask how he got his number.

“Don’t ‘OMG’ me, strumpet,’ Othello said. “Also, bad news: My wife is cheating on me, so I can’t help you anymore since I gotta kill her first.”

“Ooh yeah, that sucks,” Toya replied. “Wait, how do you know she’s cheating? Also, does this mean you’ll stop watching me sleep?”

“My very trustworthy best bro told me she was cheating with someone named Noshroog,” said Othello, answering the first question and ignoring the second.

Toya sighed. “Best bros kinda suck.”

They had a masculine bonding moment.

“Anyway, like I said, you have to deal with the Akito situation yourself now, byeee,” Othello said. He hung up.

Toya burst into sobs the instant Othello left. Oh why why why why why why why why why why does God hate me? Please? Jesus? Are you there?

Finally, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He stomped back to his Toyota, or as he liked to call it, the Toyata, and drove back to the shoddy apartment he once shared with An Shiraishi. Well technically, she was still a tenant since she didn’t know he knew she was cheating. Toya shuddered at the thought of speaking to her stupid, cheating, pretty, and definitely not bald face again.

He opened his phone to glance at his texts, which there were none. Expected. The only people that ever texted him were An or Akito, and they were obviously busy having sex. Speaking of which, didn’t they just do it LAST NIGHT? For heaven’s sake, now even he wanted to know what was up with Akito’s irresistible penis, and he was a straight male.

Toya sighed for the 23993984th time that day and opened Project Sekai before he could have some realizations. Maybe he’d do a PvP show instead of playing solo like he always did (now wasn’t that the story of his life).

The moment he matched into the room though, he knew it was a mistake. In big white letters read the name of his opponent: BEIDOOB69, his archnemesis. His palms began to sweat. His knees began to quaver.

Toya, kindly put, was “chronically online”. How he even pulled An in the first place he had no idea. Perhaps it could have been due to him playing “Let it Go” on the violin for her during the Vivid BAD Squad Christmas Party, and then tripping over his bow while walking over to her and saying “well, I really fell for you, hahaha.”
Anyway, him being chronically online made him kind of a pro Project Sekai player, probably one of the top two in his server. Unfortunately, the debatable top one was none other than BEIDOOB69.

OH SHIT. By thinking about An, he didn’t realize the song started, and he was already ten points behind BEIDOOB69. He gritted his teeth, his hands flying at a million miles an hour trying to hit all the notes. Of course, his stupid brain, instead of concentrating on the beatmap, started thinking about times when his dad would talk about how much of a disappointment and failure he was. “Aiyah, this why you no go to Harvard, you work at McDonalds scrub toilet,” he could hear in his head as he missed a note and broke his combo.

Finally, it was over. Toya lost by over one hundred points. His eyes started to water, fat rivulets of tears pouring down his dehydrated but still fairly attractive face. To make it even worse, his notifications were buzzing with Discord messages from BEIDOOB69, who, sadly, was now his only friend, online or otherwise.

BEIDOOB69: Haha U SUCK BALLS!
BEIDOOB69: No seriously, u were even worse than usual, did ur gf break up with you or something HAHAHA el em ay oh
Toya suppressed the urge to scream hysterically. After about five minutes of trying to ignore the messages, though, he remembered that venting to friends could be helpful. Ah…screw it. Toya clicked on BEIDOOB69’s profile and began typing.

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34: Yo…can I rant to you for a sec?

BEIDOOB69: WTF No

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34: Well IDC I am going to do it anyways…So basically my girlfriend is cheating on me with this dude named Akito and I feel so pissed rn BC my friend was supposed to help me get revenge but then he ditched me….

BEIDOOB69: Wait…Akito? Like the orange haired Akito?

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34 : Wait…U know Akito? As in Akito Shinonome ?

BEIDOOB69: Yeah….Dude’s an ass. He led me on and ghosted me after pissing on my dog. He tried pissing on me too but I kicked him out before he could .

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34: Oh Sucks

BEIDOOB69: Yeah IKR

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34: Do you wanna help me get revenge on him?

BEIDOOB69: Y should I help you …what’s in it for me?

TOYALOVESBALDMEN34: We’re going to kill Akito Shinonome. Meet me at Applebee’s, 5pm.

BEIDOOB69 has logged off.

Toya didn’t have very high expectations. He didn’t even know if BEIDOOB69 received his message. The only thing he could do was dutifully go to Applebee’s at 5pm and hope that his friend would assist him.
