Chapter Text

Crowley had never questioned the string. It had always been there, from the day he came into existence.

He’d only found out where it went when the Almighty had sent him to create the stars and the nebula. The planets and the universe .

He had been struggling with the scroll in his hands, and couldn’t seem to multitask the tool and the paper itself. That was when someone passed by, and he did the only think he thought to do; Crowley called them over. The other angel had swept down next to him, and he had finally found out just where his string went.

It was connected to, who he later found out to be called, Aziraphale.

Then Crowley fell, and was never given the chance to talk to him again.

The next he met him was at the Garden of Eden. He had just tricked the humans into eating from the forbidden tree, and had noticed the string going up to the Garden Wall, tugging ever so softly.

He had followed it, heart aching at the thought of seeing the angel again. Upon turning back to his more humane form, he found out Aziraphale had no idea who he was.

The Archangels had wiped his memories of him; he couldn’t help but wonder what he thought of the demon.

What was worse was that Aziraphale seemed to have no idea that they were soulmates. Almost as if he couldn’t see the strings that tied them.

Crowley vowed to never tell him.

Notes:

I plan to write more chapters for this work, but will not have a set schedule because of school and other things. I will, however, try my best to get chapters out as quickly as I can. I won’t rush them, as I want them to be the best I can possibly make them!

Have a great day, wonderful people :)
