Would it be so bad to act on the urges? Once? Just once? Yes, it was terrible, Gabriel. Why would he even think that it wasn’t? He was an adult, pushing thirty. And what was Miles? Ten? Eleven? A tiny child who didn’t know his rights and his wrongs (and couldn’t fathom the concept of not speaking to strangers for all that was good and holy).
Yet, this tiny child changed Gabriel. Molding his mind to where he craved Miles’ voice. The sweet hummingbirds’ song fluttered through his ears, creating a nest in his brain. He wanted to think of only Miles. He wanted more…more than what was legal.

“Wanna prove it?” Miguel asked, a challenge in his voice. “Open your mouth.”
Miles hesitated, staring up at Miguel with unsure eyes. But he complied, faintly opening his mouth wide enough for Miguel to slide his thumb in. Miles gasped, closing his mouth as he felt the man’s thumb rest on his tongue, caressing it carefully.
“Good boy,” Miguel murmured, using his other hand to pet the top of Miles’ head.
Miles preened at the praise, sucking on Miguel’s thumb like it was a lollipop. He didn’t understand why he needed to do this, but he’d do anything for Miguel.
