“I don’t believe you!” Sirius pulls himself out of Remus’ arms. He shoves his hand in his hair and tugs at the root.
“What do you want me to say, Sirius!?” Remus groans, “I want you to stay, and I don’t even know why. Don’t ask me to explain something impossible to you. You belong here with me,” Remus laughs and retakes the space Sirius put between them. Cupping his face. “If you leave, I will follow you, even if you run away, darlin’, I will find you. I’m not letting you go.” He shakes Sirius’ head, trying to make him understand, and Sirius does as the smile on Remus’ face grows almost manic.

“Even if you are the devil!” Remus tells him, eyes bright like he’s just had an epiphany, “I will fall down from heaven, through the earth, down to find you.
